The Best Labor Day Sales: Top Items Worth Buying
The long weekend is here, and it’s one of the best times to stock your closet for fall. As I’ve shared recently, there are quite a few fall styles out now. I’ve learned from previous years not to wait to purchase. If you see something you like on sale this weekend, it’s likely to be sold out by the time you actually need it. With that being said, I’m rounding up the best labor day sales from our favorite AWSL retailers, along with my picks on what is worth buying.
BTW- if you have and love an Envy pillow like I do, they are having a promotion on their custom-fitted pillowcases. Use BOGO50- to save 50% on your second pillowcase. I bought the copper-infused ones.

That short collar less denim jacket is so cute. I’m thinking of it over a sleeveless tiered maxi dress I have, a colorful paisley print.
Very cute! I really loved its vibe.
Thanks for the sale alerts.
Do the Ecco slip-ons run true to size? The website says they run large, but I’ve been a true 38 in their other styles. Thanks!! Enjoy your weekend!
I bought my regular size 40 which I wear in all their shoes.
Love the color of the knit blazer and its lapel notched wings, plus feel the paisley scarf would be a colorful addition to dark washed denim. With appreciation of all your assistance to keep those like myself, current. -Brenda-
You’re so sweet, Brenda. I love the color too:)
Although I like the looks of Ann Taylor (and Loft) clothes, everything is made of polyester, which is so 20th century. We all read the ingredients on food packaging and are careful what we put into our bodies; doing the same for what we put on our bodies seems like a win:win.
It’s funny, because some people prefer synthetics for the ease of care so I guess it’s all personal preference.
Jennifer,
Just an FYI about finding sneakers that are comfortable. I recently purchased a pair of Hoka sneakers, and they are awesome! I’ve noticed a lot of medical workers, especially nurses are wearing these sneakers during their long days. They all say that their legs and feet feel great and not as tired at the end of their day.I love mine check them out!
I had a pair for all of one day, when they got stolen out of the car. I am planning to replace them. I agree, they’re super comfy. Ugly but comfy:)
I agree they are ugly and the color combos are Bold to say the least! I have my eye on a pair of white Transports that are more subtle and classic.
I’ll check for that color 🙂
I love my Envy pillow. It costs a lot and I hesitated, but it was comfortable from the first time I put my head down. I also really like silk cases. Their fitted one is very nice, but I also use older regular silk ones with the Envy pillow that seem to be fine.
I have a travel one on the way and I’m so excited to get it! My neck never felt so good in the morning.
This fall I’m going to look for a short blazer and maybe some faux leather pants. That would be something really different for me to try. With all your wonderful posts I’m not afraid to maybe step out of my comfort zone.
That’s wonderful to hear Rosemary! Have a great weekend.
