They offer one of the largest size ranges in the industry and are incredibly comfortable. These slingback sandals come in WW, W, M, and N, in sizes 5-12!

They also come in black or beige. The heel is a stable 2″, plus they have a cushioned footbed and arch support. Metallics are trending this year, but I always included them in my wardrobe because they’re a versatile neutral for shoes and bags which have a timeless appeal and lasting wearability.

Black is always a versatile choice, but they’re also available in nude, gold, white, and fun raffia.

I discovered the brand Margaux several years ago when I was searching for the best ballet flat. I love that they offer multiple widths, inclusive sizing (from 3-14), and amazing customer service that will help you choose your perfect size! I own three pairs of their ballet flats, and this flat sandal which are all super comfy. Their Lena sandal looks like a great option for when you need a low heel. They come in four great shades, including a gorgeous gold metallic.

  1. Super list for those requiring a ‘dress’ shoe with a heel but for myself as my lifestyle no longer demands high end ones, my recent purchases are that of a cheaper quality that still offer comfort and style for the length of time I will be wearing them. i.e.: A special occasion. Dream Pairs ‘Ingrid’ style, low wedge (for stability), single ankle strap, sandal style, three pairs in neutral colors and self dying (with TRG Shoe Dye) two others to meet my needs. Should mention though, don’t have major foot problems and foot is medium width however I do need a half sizing for a perfect fit.

    1. Self dying shoes seems very popular these days. Your the second person this week who has mentioned it to me.

  2. This is a great post and most appreciated. Dress shoes are always a problem for me. Two years ago, I discovered the Onex brand Misha style and it works for me. It has a very low heel, padding and a stretchy top that hugs my foot and doesn’t hit on the bunion bone.

    1. Not hitting on the bunion bone is critical for my left foot! Thanks for sharing this brand, Lisa

  3. Why do dress shoes have to have any heel at all? I don’t think a sparkly pair of totally flat ballets flats would make the outfit look too casual.

    1. I be agree with you Kay. Some ladies just prefer them with dresses

  4. I’m with you on being between a regular width and a wide. I have regular width in Easy Spirit and wide in Skechers. My problems are arthritis and peripheral neuropathy in my feet so comfort is a must. I chose an Easy Spirit sandal in gold and lie it very much. I have a casual sandal in black from Ecco. Please take care of yourself as you heal from this scourge Covid. It is still very much here. The government is deciding to hide its head in the sand and pretend it is not a serious problem. This scares me for the future as people stop getting vaccinated for it.

    1. My Easy Spirits are medium too and they’re just fine.

  5. Good to see so many dress shoes. It’s pretty easy to find comfy everyday shoes but dress shoes are really difficult to fit and. This helps a lot. Thanks.

  6. Hope you are feeling better soon!
I suffer with plantar fasciitis with terrible heel pain in my left foot. I am looking for sandals that won’t aggravate the condition. I also have wide feet. Any suggestions for sandals?
    Thanks

    1. That’s awful, I’m sorry. I’m a big fan of Ecco sandals. I also like the Easy Spirit which tend to be wider and also come in wides.

  7. Thank you so much for this post! As I’ve gotten older, my motto is “Always wear comfortable shoes!” And since I’m just under 6’ tall, I’m not a fan of high heels anyway. I appreciate your research into this particular niche of beautiful but comfortable dress shoes! 😊

    1. I love your motto. Uncomfortable shoes aren’t worth it in any way.

  8. Perfect timing, I’m MOG next month and I don’t have shoes yet. Ordered the Glenni sandal since it looks like I could wear it often. May try a couple others you mention. I don’t comment often but I love your blog and that you cover multiple budget options.

    1. Congratulations!! That’s so exciting.

  9. Thanks for this post, Jennifer. I wear a wide width and it’s difficult to find a nice looking shoe or sandal in my size. I can’t wait to try some of these!

    1. I’m between a medium and wide and have always struggled. Many wides are too loose and most regulars pinch. My biggest struggle is the bunion and need for extra cushioning. These old feet just hate bad shoes.
