Classic Coastal Chic Styles with Frank & Eileen
This post is sponsored by Frank & Eileen. You know how much I love this brand, and I’m delighted to work with them! Thanks for supporting the brands that support AWSL.
Whether you call it Coastal Chic or Coastal Grandmother style, this clean, classic, casual style is here to stay. The lifestyle comes from being comfortable in our skin and doing the things that bring us joy. What more could you ask for? Today’s post features three different classic coastal chic styles with Frank & Eileen.

What is Frank & Eileen?
Frank & Eileen is a California-based fashion brand known for its effortlessly chic and luxurious wardrobe-essentials. Founded by Audrey McLoghlin, the brand is named after Audrey’s Irish grandparents, Frank and Eileen. The brand is famous for its impeccably crafted shirts made from the finest Italian fabrics, offering a perfect blend of comfort, quality, and timeless style. They’ve been expanding their line to carry all sorts of apparel, including travel sets, dresses, and denim.

What I Love about Frank & Eileen
Frank & Eileen is not just one of my favorites for their style but also for their values. This woman-owned company has a leadership team that is 100% female, and their products are proudly made right here in California. As a certified B Corp, they’re all about sustainable practices and ethical production, making sure their workers are fairly treated and using eco-friendly materials and processes. You can really see their dedication to sustainability and social responsibility shining through in every piece they create.

Classic Coastal Chic Outfit Inspiration from Frank & Eileen
1. Classic Coastal Chic For a Casual Day Out

This Italian Dream Denim is incredibly comfy, and these have quickly become my favorite jeans! Despite being super soft with a slight stretch, they hold their shape well and are not baggy at the end of a long day of walking or shopping. They come in lots of other great washes, like white and almond, in sizes 24-32.

This Patrick French stripe jersey comes in several stripes and solids, including a navy. I decided to stretch myself and ordered the red, which I love! It has a slightly oversized, relaxed fit which works well with my casual wardrobe. I chose to do a tuck since I’m wearing them with a wide-leg pant, but it looks great untucked with a straight-leg pant. The Patrick also comes in their triple fleece fabric, which you’ve seen me wear for travel several times.
2. For Travel

This is my second travel set by Frank & Eileen, and with all the traveling we’re doing, it won’t be my last. The Malibu travel set is comprised of a one-size-fits-all ‘Audrey’ capelet paired with a ‘Catherine’ straight-leg sweatpant. The pants have a 25″ inseam, which will be full-length or cropped, depending on your height. Although this looks black, it’s actually a deep navy.

This British Royal Navy is a chameleon color that can be dressed up or down with a quick change of shoes. I’ve worn it with loafers, sandals, and a white sneaker, and it looks equally great with all three! This set comes in several other neutrals, as well as some fun colors like sea foam and pale pink. They also introduced a linen travel set that would be perfect for tropical destinations.

I really appreciate that all their pieces are machine washable, on cold, and hang dry. I don’t remember the last time I took my clothes to a dry cleaner, and don’t miss that nasty chemical smell one bit.

3. Classic Coastal Chic Shirtdress For Lunch or Dinner

This long, lean Rory maxi shirtdress is a classic shape designed with a loose, breezy fit. I added a belt to it to give it a bit more definition around my waist, popped my collar, and rolled the sleeves. This fabulous denim has a washed, lived-in vibe that feels like your favorite garment from the first wear.

I skipped a belt on this warm day by the coast because I wanted a looser feel. I can also see wearing this dress open as a third layer over a tank top and slim pants.

This Rory Maxi shirtdress comes in nine denim colors, three classic linen shades, four washed linen colors, one lived-in linen, and four organic Voile shades. The Rose Quartz also caught my eye, so I may need to add it to my wardrobe.

Female empowerment is at the forefront of everything that Frank & Eileen does. They create chic wardrobe staples that are outrageously soft and sustainable. These are investment pieces to live in, whether you’re in the kitchen, the garden, meeting friends for drinks, or vacationing.
Thanks for reading, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

I really like these Frank and Eileen clothes. This is the first I’ve heard about them. I really loved the red jersey and the jeans. Might be out of my price range though but look beautiful.
I really love the first top in red/ white with your jeans! Beautiful shirt! Must read about this company too.
Frank and Eileen have such lovely clothes, and you look great in them. Unfortunately, due to the poor exchange rate, they are off the radar for me – the linen travel set was $850 Aust. Glad you finally have a coastal life style – looking at the beach and water of an evening is quite magical
What about the shoulder bags? Where are they from? Particularly the larger one.
The large bag is from Madewell and seems to be sold out in that shade. Here it is in coffee bean color.
I have shopped a little at Frank and Eileen. I own a chambray shirt that I like. I ordered a Mary dress a couple of years ago and thought it was horrible — wrinkled? Raw edges, at a $400 price! I have just ordered the Daphne dress which I hope I’ll like. A lot of bloggers seem to like Frank and Eileen but they must get incentives
Several of the pieces have a distressed vibe that may not appeal to everyone. That Daphne looks so pretty.
The travel set in navy, the linen set in olive green and the shirt dress you have on are all favorites but alas, they are way out of my retirement budget. You are fortunate to be able to buy clothes like these.
They are pricey, for sure, Sydney. I’m still working full time so I’m fortunate to be able to make the investment.
I love the Frank and Eileen brand so much, I’m afraid I have developed and addiction for it! The pieces are all so comfy, and I really appreciate their mission. Thanks for another great post!
As a former sailor, I am so glad your husband has found
a sailboat. I am sorry you don’t care for sailing.
Maybe this boat will be just the one to win you over.
Do share photos of the new boat.
I’m going to try and get over my terror because this is such a gorgeous place to sail. I will share for sure!
This is a new brand for me. I love the travel set. At first, the price for a travel set was off putting. But truth be told, the set is growing on me! I suppose if you prorate the top and bottom as two separately priced items and then consider how many years you can wear it, it becomes affordable!
Always love reading your posts and seeing your outfits.
Thank you for this post. Lately, I have been seeing this brand mentioned frequently. I love the travel set. I am finally letting go of some items in my wardrobe that no longer work for me, so some of these pieces will be welcome replacements.
The company ethics and sustainability are fabulous so more and more women are discovering them.
Oh, I do love that dress, but will have to find it elsewhere in Canada I believe. When I checked it out, it will be $540 plus duty and taxes, so I will admire it from afar and keep my eyes open. It does look lovely on you Jennifer, and the pink is gorgeous as well.
Glad you are back in your little piece of heaven again, and I am with you, as much as I like boats, sailing is not for me.
I am so impressed by the ethics of this company. The style of clothing really suits my retired coastal grandmother vibe!
I haven’t purchased anything yet but keep finding myself browsing their website :-)) so many great choices!!!!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience with this brand!

Me too, Leslie! Clothes made in California are pricier for sure, but I feel good knowing the workers are paid a living wage.
