New Arrivals Fall 2024 at Eileen Fisher
The neutrals at Eileen Fisher just keep getting better and better. The latest collection is tagged “Quiet, Turned All The Way Up,” and it has my name all over it. If you love neutrals for investment pieces but find black is too harsh for your coloring, consider taupe, dove, ecru, reed, chalk, bone, sea salt, etc. Here’s a look at new arrivals for fall 2024 at Eileen Fisher with her latest quiet neutrals.

A try-on is when I go into a store and style their latest collection so readers can see what’s new and get some ideas for how they could wear it. I’m not shopping for myself and seldom buy clothes because I prefer to shop online. My hair gets pretty trashed, and I’m often barefoot. For size reference, I’m 5’4″, which puts me on the cusp of petite. I have wide shoulders and straight hips with no obvious curves. Eileen Fisher is a size-inclusive brand, with most pieces coming in regular and petite sizes XXS-3X.

These felted wool jersey trousers are as soft as can be with a wide elastic waistband, slash pockets, and a slightly longer inseam. I’m used to some wool feeling scratchy, but these are not. They run on the large side, like most of her pieces so I would order your regular size. This color is chalk and they come in black or soft olive, called wren.
The ribbed mock neck top is a great layering piece in Lyocel tencel with short sleeves. The ribbing loose so it doesn’t have a body concious feel like many ribbed tops. This is the bone color and it also comes in wren or black.
The open knit cardigan is oversized by design. I went down to an XS but think the S would have been preferrable because it would have made the sleeves a smidger longer. The merino wool is incredibly soft. This color is dove. This feels so lightweight on that it would transition well from late summer into fall.

These cotton stretch corduroy pants did come home with me. I bought this same style in gray last year and wore the heck out of them. This corduroy is not stiff like many others and the addition of 5% spandex makes them comfy to move in. I’m wearing the taupe and they also come in black. These run true to EF sizing so I suggest you buy your regualr size.
This light cotton/nylon jacket is also available in azalea (bright raspberry) and is a great layer for fall. I’m wearing a small which feels too loose over this thin mock neck, so I would suggest you size down unless you plan to wear it over heavier sweaters.

This stretch silk bias skirt comes in the dove color, as well as redwood and wren (olive). I’m wearing the “eucalyptus”. It’s a simple, full-length pull-on style that they show styled with oxfords and combat boots. I’d probably prefer it with a suede bootie, but either way, it’s a beautiful skirt. It is unlined so plan on wearing a slip.
I’ve topped it with this amazing sweater (which also comes in dove)in their signature cashmere bliss knit. This fiber blend is one of the softest I’ve felt and comes in lots of different shapes. They show this sweater styled with this skirt, but I think it would be better over slim leg pants like this and the skirt would be a better proportion with a shorter sweater like this.

This Tencel ribbed dress is a great base to layer things over. It has 11% spandex so it would be great for travel because it would hold it’s shape. You could also add a a belt or colorful scarf to jazz it up and wear it multiple ways. This is black and it also comes in wren, which appears to be a soft, deep olive. As with the ribbed mock neck top, this rib is not tight so the dress is not body conscious.
On the right is the open weave merino cardigan, and on the left I layered on a short, boiled wool vest. Vests continue to be on trend this fall and are a fun way to break up a longer piece which gives a nod to your waist without a belt. I’m wearing the vest in dove and it also comes in wren or black.

This cotton v-neck sweater is a substantial knit and a great weight for late summer and fall. The knit is smooth and it’s a petite-friendly, hip length, even in this regular. I’m wearing the reed color and it also comes in ecru or black. I found it runs a bit larger than usual, because I am seldom an XXS in her pieces.
These cotton cargo pants have a full leg and longer inseam so I need the petite in these. The fabric is organic cotton with no spandex, slash side pockets and cargo pockets on the legs. These are nice and roomy for ladies with hips and fuller thighs, but the pockets also draw attention to that area. These would be a great alternative to jeans this fall. I’m wearing the color reed and they also come in black. I found these run narrow in the waist.

This open-stitch crewneck is a beautifully soft color (sea salt), which coordinates gorgeously with all the other neutrals this season. The shades all blend seamlessly for a tonal look that is both soft and elegant. The merino is soft, supple and airy. I’m wearing a stretch silk tank in the color “dove” layered under the crewneck sweater.
These washable stretch crepe cargo pants are a fun new shape in one of their best travel-friendly fabrics. A gal in the next changing room had them on in black and they looked fabulous. They have a 2″ flat elastic waistband which feels nice and substantial so you could easily tuck or front tuck thin tops. I am toying with the idea of ordering these in petite because the length seems a smidge long for me.

What are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

Your hair is absolutely stunning and you look fabulous in these clothes!!! I am having to manually go into your site each day through Google if I want to keep up because I can’t get any link to work for me. Can you help me with this or am I just doomed to this forever?
I have reached out to my email provider. They say you unsubscribed and I am legally not allow to resubscribe you. If you can find an old email from earlier in August and forward it to me, I might be able to fix it! Fingers crossed you can find one in your spam or trash.
Your hair color and style are absolutely beautiful. Tempts me to go natural.
Stunning.
Thank you. It took me a while to get here, but I am finally seeing the silver I always wanted.
Your hair is beautiful and these colors are perfect on you!
Thank you so much
Your hair looks fabulous with these neutrals!!
Great job.
Thanks!
Do like the color selection of EF neutrals however at this time and place in life, sadly I can’t justify cost per wear in Cdn. $$ when I can purchase similar for less. With that said; thanks though for keeping me current and I’m loving your hair style. -Brenda-
I know the CDN $ is challenging for imported clothes.
I am going to look into those cargo pants (as if I need another pair of pants!) That fabric wears forever.
I agree on that fabric. I’m still wearing pant I’ve had for over 15 years in that crepe
Eileen Fisher selections look terrific on you! I also love neutrals
Beautiful clothes Jennifer thank you for the post. I have a college reunion coming up and ordered the redwood silk shirt and looking forward to seeing it in person! Gorgeous colors!
The redwood color is so gorgeous! I love her silks
Your hair looks great with these neutrals!
Thanks, that’s why I gravitated to them 🙂
These colors look so pretty on you
Thank you Pat. I love them
I love all of these neutrals but which one do you think best for a person with cool coloring who mostly wears gray as a neutral? It’s so hard to tell the real colors and nuances from photos. Also, I wear the same sizes as you do so it’s really helpful to get your sizes on these pieces since EF sizes are all over the place now. Thanks
The sea salt is like a very pale gray. The chalk would be awesome with gray.I have very cool coloring and would wear all of these.
Thanks!
Merino crew neck lovely
Unfortunately the link is for the tank top
Sorry, I fixed it here you go
Love all of these and the colors!
NOW you’re talking MY style…thank u sooo much!

Absolutely , has your name all over it. Gorgeous, chalky colors, buy up!
Lol, I thought you would think so! Xo
EF has brick & mortar stores?? I wish there was one near me. Love all these outfits, especially the washable crepe cargo pants. But I always wait until a sale to buy EF clothing. Thanks for giving us a fall preview.
They have a great end of season sale going on now!
The second picture with the long cardigan is the best! You look fabulous in that outfit.
Thank you! I love this collection.
