Weekend Reading 02.07.26

Fresh air and blue skies have “briefly” arrived in Vancouver, and I’m loving every minute of it! This hat is an oldie but a goodie. Last week I wore it to keep the rain off my face (yes, not what it’s intended for), and this week it’s protecting me from the sun. I wish they still made this gray, but I linked a similar one above.

Highlights from the weekend sales and what I spotted:

RING CONCIERGE is having its biggest sale of the season with 20% off sitewide! I’ve already started twisting my husband’s arm (gently, of course) about this stunning bangle for our 48th anniversary next month.

AYR is having a surprise sale for its 10th Birthday this weekend, with 20% off sitewide from 2/6 – 2/8.

  • Of course, I ordered my “Secret Sauce” jeans in cream last week 🙂 Here’s what the website says about them- “Premium denim with the perfect amount of stretch. Made in L.A. Perpetually sold out. Waitlists over 5,000 people long.”
  • I’m also seriously tempted by their Chalet coat, but it’s labeled “warm white,” which may not be the most flattering on my pink skin.

EILEEN FISHER is always a smart place to browse the sale racks and a personal favorite with an extra 20% off all sale items.

  • My boiled wool trousers (above) are marked way down, and I couldn’t love them more. I bought them in regular XS and turned up the hem with needle and thread because the petites were a touch too short…a common issue for me at 5’4″.
  • These look very similar, so I’ve just ordered them in Chalk, which is a fabulous neutral for me.
  • This beautiful little quilted jacket is perfect for 3 seasons, depending on your climate.
  • This organic cotton shirt is not on sale, but snuck into my cart 🙂 Their Dove color is stunning with pure white in the summer, and the crinkled texture will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Singapore.

GAP has up to 50% off sitewide, and all of their jeans are 20-40% off, including:

In case you missed it:

  • Behind-the-scenes note: A late-night round of J.Jill markdowns and URL changes made my Tuesday try-on look like everything was sold out, so I pulled the post down. It’s especially frustrating because most brands don’t change their URLs when items are marked down, which makes previously linked pieces seem to disappear overnight. You’d think they’d want shoppers to be able to find both new arrivals and markdowns.

Thanks for reading, and have a fabulous weekend.

It’s hard to think Spring in Chicago when it’s 23 degrees and that a significant warmup. But I bought the striped espadrilles. Hope is eternal!

    1. Brrr, that’s really cold.

  2. Singapore! Can’t wait to see and hear about your trip. I am traveling to Southeast Asia next year, and wondering what to wear….
