Weekend Reading 02.28.26
Happy Saturday, ladies. My new scarves arrived last week and I immediatly broke out my favorite.

This is the Celestial Steed pattern in Mercury/Moonstone and which is right on time for the year of the horse. I love the low contrast of this scarf and how beautifully it works with my wardrobe. I invested in one of her artistic scarves many years ago and have worn it so often, my cost per wear is very low. I’d rather own one fabulous scarf than 4 mediocre ones.
Bestsellers this week…what readers loved most:
- These Wit & Wisdom jeans were a huge bestseller again this week. They’re a great modern shape and not too wide to be wearable.
- This Crepe Firming Cream was the second-highest-selling product this week. It’s a no-scrub exfoliator and moisturizer with 15% Lactic Acid AHA
- These Emma Ponte Trousers are a personal favorite and wear very popular this week. Chico’s makes lots of great pants but this shape looks the most modern to me and they are very flattering.
- This Quince Organic Cotton cardigan flew out the door, and also landed in my cart…not a moment too soon based on our weather shift.
- This affordable body retinol was a bestseller this week. and one of my all time bestsellers. Its incredibly afordable and has fabulous ingredients.
Highlights from the weekend sales:
ANN TAYLOR has 30% off your purchase and an extra 15% when you spend $200.
- This toile denim jacket is such a fun look for spring.
- A blush colored, hoodie trench coat..so pretty and unique sleeves, also in petite.
- This blazer just arrived and it’s beautiful…you’ll see it soon.
LANDS END spring break sale is on with 50% off spring styles and 40% off everything else.
- I ordered this bathing suit in teal ombré and this swimsuit in rose ombré.
- This Tencel popover shirt looks great for warmer weather.
- Not on sale, but I also ordered these 700 thread count sheets to try because I’ve heard so many good things about them.
CHICO’S has spring styles starting at $39.
- You can not go wrong with this 3/4 sleeve Pima cotton tee, available in 6 wearable colors.
- This Pima cotton V-neck tee is also fabulous with it’s always-flattering elbow length sleeves. I ordered the blue orchid and alabaster because I’m always happy to find a neutral soft white.
- I tried on this embroidered cardigan/jacket last week and loved it…but they were out of my size, so I couldn’t photograph it to do it justice.
NORDSTROM has a slew of new markdowns.
- This Frank & Eileen Mini Belfast sweatshirt jacket is marked down in current which is a great color with white jeans and white tee for spring/summer.
- These Frame wide-leg ankle jeans are a nice classy, deep, undistressed wash.
- These Mephisto sandals are a great buy. Every pair of Mephistos I own are incredibly comfy.
- These Rag & Bone suede runners are 40% off and perfect for spring. This is an expensive sneaker, so getting them at this price is a smart deal.
J. CREW has 40% off denim styles to wear now. I love the quality and fit of their denim…plus they carry petites and tall, with sizes up to 37.
- This kick out crop jean is marked down in two classic washes.
- This popular slim wide leg is on sale in all washes.
- This canvas lady jacket is also marked down. So great for spring over a longer tee or shirt.
In case you missed it:
Thanks for reading, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

Hello, Jennifer. I have a question for you. Would like to order that lovely Ann Taylor blazer. The nearest store is 100 miles away, so online is the only option. However, I have narrow shoulders but DD cup breasts. Their size chart, like most size charts, gives no indication as to fitting across the bust. How do you order the correct size without having to buy/return/buy/return again?
It’s very hard…I would recommend reading any sizing reviews, reaching out to their customer service to get the garment measurments. Barring that, I order two sizes and return what doesn’t fit.
A bit off topic for today’s post, but where are you buying EvoTears now that we can’t get them via Amazon or German sources? Thanks for any help in ding them reasonably priced. They have helped me so much!
I’m just paying for my RX…it’s really sad that the manufacturer can prevent us from buying overseas. I really wish there was a way for me to not give them my business. The only thing they copywritted was the name…the product had been used for years in other countries as generic.
I have been wondering how you go about organizing your closet. It seems I am always wasting time searching for something. Do you organize hanging clothes by color, season and type? What closet organizers have you found to be best? How do you store your jewelry and shoes? What about folded clothes like bulky sweaters and lingerie? I have a large closet that always seems to be disorganized no matter how hard I try to to keep it neat and accessible! Thank you in advance for sharing how you maintain order!
By season first, then by garment type, then by color on the rod. I take a lot of my closet that are off season and store in the guest room
Love the steed scarf. Colors are so soft & wonderful together. I always want to order from Chicos, loved the look of the 3/4 arm tee, but they need to make them in petites. At 5’2″ they overwhelm me.
Did you mean to link to a child’s sweater at Quince? The lavender link goes to their kids dept.
Sorry, this is the bestselling sweater.
I like your choices in the tees. The scarf is gorgeous but way out of my budget. You look lovely in your pictured outfit. Our sheets are the 400 count ones from Landsend and they are currently three years old. We do use their flannel sheets in the winter months and will be switching to the sateen ones this month. They also have our towels in the Supima cotton and I love them!
Darn I already snapped up that Belfast in current! I generally hate fake horn huge buttons (they seem to be on everything) but they don’t seem as offensive on burgundy, which I have deemed a summer color this year. Plan to lighten it up with white, taupe and maybe some icy light blue…
I love the idea of icy blue with it. Great contrast!
The Quince organic cotton cardigan takes me to the children’s sizes.
Oops. This is the correct sweater.
I have owned a scarf like that for years and it really pulls together many outfits. I was wondering how you would style a longer blazer in a neutral houndstooth pattern so as to not look too severe but more casual.
Push up the sleeves, or fold up. Put it over very casual pieces like a simple tee and jeans. Pop the back of the collar up and make sure your shoes are casual. Sneakers rather than loafers, for example.

Sorry, here it is.
