Amazon Prime Day 2026: What I Bought, Love, and What’s Trending This Summer

I’ve been an Amazon Prime member for longer than I remember and love the ease of shopping, quick, free delivery, and easy, free returns. The membership is easily covered in just a few purchases. I can also get free grocery delivery from Whole Foods, which is my favorite because they have organic everything at an affordable price. You also get access to Prime-only sales and early deals…like today.

What I’ve Bought from Amazon in 2026

I wear hats like this all the time now. In fact, my neighbors probably wouldn’t recognize me without one. With all of the skin cancer problems on my nose and face, protecting my skin has become a daily habit, and a wide-brimmed sun hat is one of the easiest ways to do that. This one is lightweight, comfortable, and easy to pack for travel.

I never quite know what to do with my handbag at a restaurant. Putting it on the floor has never appealed to me, and balancing it on the back of a chair usually ends with it sliding off. A purse hook solves both problems. It clips onto the edge of the table, keeping your handbag clean, close by, and off the floor. It’s one of those simple little gadgets that’s surprisingly useful.

I also updated to the Oura Ring 5, which is at least 40% smaller than my older model so much more comfortable to wear. It’s narrower, thinner, and lighter. I love that it tracks my sleep, walking, and stress levels. It keeps track of so many things, I feel weirdly lost without it.

I decided to give these Gentle Souls knit sandals a try because I liked the simple black design and the promise of comfort. The stretchy knit upper is soft against the foot, there’s plenty of cushioning underfoot, and they were comfortable from the first time I slipped them on.

These Vionic Slimfit Orthotic Insoles are a nice solution for shoes that need just a little more support. They’re slim enough to fit inside many styles without taking up too much room, and sometimes that’s all it takes to make a pair of shoes wearable again.

I’ve become much more intentional about protecting my skin. A UPF 50+ shirt like this makes it easy because the sun protection is built right in. It’s lightweight, breathable, and perfect for morning walks, gardening, travel, or any time you’ll be outside for more than a few minutes. I still wear sunscreen, of course, but I like adding another layer of protection whenever I can. My older self wishes my younger self had been this sensible.

What I Still Love from Amazon That I’ve Previously Bought

Slim Portable Fan

My Shark Cordless Handvac is on sale for Prime Day, and I highly recommend it!  It’s super lightweight, powerful, and perfect for quick pickups, so I don’t have to haul out the large cordless vacuum.

SHOKZ Open Fit earbuds

I have tried way too many add-ons and gizmos to keep my Apple Earbuds from falling out, and I finally gave up. I swear, I have normally shaped ears, but they will not stay put, especially when moving my head, so I finally upgraded to these SHOKZ Open Fit earbuds, and I love them. They’re super comfy and never fall off, even when working out…which is when I love listening to audiobooks. They go over and outside my ears rather than inside.

Vibration plates seem to be right up there with weighted vests as one of the biggest wellness trends this year. While they’re certainly not a replacement for strength training or a daily walk, many people are using them to support balance, muscle activation, circulation, and even lymphatic drainage. Some also find they help loosen stiff muscles after a workout or a long day of sitting. I’m curious if they actually work. Have any of you used one before?

I travel enough that I can appreciate anything that makes living out of a suitcase a little easier. The Foldable Bamboo Luggage Rack comes fully assembled, folds flat when you’re not using it, and keeps your suitcase off the floor where it’s much easier to pack and unpack. It would be especially handy in a guest room, too.

Flip flops aren’t usually known for being kind to your feet, so it’s interesting to see the Archies Arch Support Flip Flops becoming so popular. They have a streamlined look with supportive arches built right in, making them a nice alternative to the flat rubber versions many of us grew up wearing. If you’re in need of a pair for by the pool or even to wear as house shoes, I’d try them!

Geometry Kitchen Towels seem to have developed a bit of a cult following, and everyone who owns them swears they’re worth it. They’re incredibly absorbent, dry quickly, and don’t leave lint behind, which makes them ideal for everything from drying dishes to wiping down countertops. The fun patterns certainly don’t hurt either.

Facial oils can be hit or miss, but the Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil keeps popping up on beauty editors’ and skincare lovers’ favorites lists. It’s packed with antioxidant-rich oils that leave skin feeling soft, hydrated, and noticeably glowier without feeling greasy. If your skin tends to feel a little drier in the summer from sun, air conditioning, or travel, this looks like one that’s worth adding to your nighttime routine.

The Dermaplaning Reveal Spray is one of those clever beauty products that makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner. A quick mist helps reveal the fine facial hair that’s almost impossible to see, making dermaplaning much easier and more precise. It’s been all over social media lately, and I have to admit, it’s a pretty smart little beauty trick.

My assistant has the Roborock F25 ALT Vacuum Mop, and she can’t stop talking about it. It vacuums and mops your hard floors at the same time, which is a huge time saver. When you’re finished cleaning, you simply place it on the dock and press the self-cleaning cycle. It washes the roller with clean water, then uses hot air to dry it, so it’s clean and ready for the next use. The only real maintenance is emptying the dirty water tank and refilling the clean water tank.

One thing I noticed on my recent trip to Singapore and Bali was how many women were using crossbody phone cases instead of carrying a handbag. After watching them navigate airports, sightseeing, and busy streets, I could definitely see the appeal. The Bandolier Hailey Crossbody Wallet Phone Case keeps your phone, ID, and a few credit cards right where you need them, making it a smart option for travel or those days when you want to pack light.

  1. I bought three of the Bayleaf shirts in pink, light blue and white. I prefer light colors in the heat. I’m interested in men’s tees also as my husband just had a Mohs surgery on his right forearm for cancer. Thanks Mary, I will take a look at the Roadblock shirts.

  2. Are the Baleaf sun shirts true to size? Have read fit small. Thanks!

    1. I sized up to a medium so they would be loose.

What a fun post. I have bought some surprisingly good clothing pieces from Amazon, one of which was jersey wrap dress I wore to a wedding.

I bought the wide-brim hat you show, as this is really what I need to be doing. Having a ball cap around during gardening is not giving me the neck and sides of face protection I need, so this is a perfect time for me to switch up.

My sun-protective clothing comes from Columbia Sportswear PFG line. Those long-sleeved Bahama women’s shirts are the first thing I reach for when going outside or packing for a trip. The sleeves can be rolled up, they have good neck coverage, and they are vented so I find they are not as hot as a long-sleeved knit top.

  4. I’m one of the cult followers of geometry towels. Bought a few about 5 years ago and fell in love! They are my go to hostess gift and gift for every occasion. They are like little pieces of art-with so many choices. From time to time run great sales. Love them

    1. I’ll have to try them.

  5. Cheryl Spratt says:

I was wondering if you have updated your self tanners.

    1. I’m trying a few now

  6. Great ideas.
Can you recommend some sun protection clothes for guys?

    1. My husband just asked me the very same thing!! I’m looking into it for him and will share. He also wondered if there’s a male version of the Endless Pants so I have to so some digging around.

      1. Jennifer and Juliet, I purchased about four of the Baleaf sunshirts for our trip last year to Egypt and Jordan. We were in the sun every day for 2 weeks and I never had even the slightest hint of sunburn. I found Roadbox Mens UPF 50+ UV Sun Protection Shirts on Amazon for my husband and I found them to be of great quality, equal to or better than the ladies Baleaf ones. I highly recommend them.

      2. Great testimonial Mary, tnaks! And they’re so lightweight!

I would recommend he look at the Columbia Sportswear PFG clothing line. It is oriented around bonefishing, where there is extreme sun exposure but the Bahama version shirts are extremely comfortable, wear like iron, have terrific coverage and wash and dry very quickly. Plus they come in some great colors. I notice that when I watch an outdoor sports, hiking, archeology, or just plain exploration program, there is a high likelihood that the men there are wearing this shirt, or a variation of it.

      4. Thanks Marlene!! I’ll look
