Best Finds From J. Crew Factory Spring 2025
I popped into J. Crew Factory last week to see what’s new for spring 2025, and to try some things on. As always, I was very impressed with many of their styles, and of course, their prices can’t be beaten.

J. Crew Factory is a size-inclusive brand that carries classic, petite, and tall lengths with many items in sizes XXS-3X. For size reference, I’m 5’4″, which puts me on the cusp of petite. I have broad shoulders and straight hips. You can see my other recent try-ons here.

This pink grabbed my attention the moment I walked in the door. This 100% cotton sweater polo is soft, flattering, and a great layering piece for your spring wardrobe. It comes in 7 colors and runs true to size. I love that it’s not too long to wear untucked and has a nice band at the bottom. I’m wearing it with these mid-rise flare crops. This classic length has a 26″ inseam, which just hits at my ankle. The petite has a 24″ inseam, and the tall has a 29″ inseam. I’m wearing the Misty Indigo wash, and it also comes in 6 other washes.

This short-sleeved cardigan is so cute and versatile for spring. The fringe edges give it a soft, modern look. It’s a cotton blend fabric and also comes in “black ivory marl” which looks gray. I went up to a medium to close it across the front, and I do think it runs true to size.
I’m wearing it over this short-sleeved v-neck tee, which is as classic as it gets. This is a tissue weight, so it’s not totally opaque in the white. It’s 100% cotton so that it will be very cool in hot weather, and it is opaque in the other 5 shades. These wide leg crops are a best-seller at J. Crew Factory. They come in 6 washes and I am wearing seashell white. The fabric is a low stretch with 98% cotton and 2% spandex with an unfinished hem and a high rise.

This sequin striped tee is 100% cotton and quite possibly off season, but I think it would be fun for the 4th of July or anytime you want to add some pizzazz. The stripe is a soft, pale blue/gray that would sparkle in the sunshine. I’m wearing it under a classic denim vest. Young women are wearing these on their own, but I prefer something under it.

These girlfriend high rise chinos fit beautifully and a have a nice polished look (I know it’s hard to see in the black). These are cotton with 3% elastane so they have lots of give and are comfy. They come in 8 color options in classic and petite length. I paired it with a black cotton tee for a column of color under this lilac herringbone blazer. The blazer is a linen/cotton blend that dresses up everything and would be great over a summer dress or white jeans. It also comes in pale blue or pale green. I love this kind of blazer over bermuda shorts with ballet flats.

This striped drop shoulder sweater is a machine washable cotton blend in a medium weight. It has a relaxed oversized fit and comes in several solids as well as a green and white stripe. I’m wearing the ivory and black stripe. Vertical stripes on a dropped shoulder could not be more unflattering on my silhouette so I broke up the look with this little bandana neck scarf :).
I’m pairing them with these straight-leg stretch jeans in black. These jeans also come in 6 other denim washes and fit like a dream. These also come in petite and tall, sizes 24-34.

As you know, I seldom wear patterns, but I do have a soft spot for gingham. There’s something so quintessentially classic and fresh about a gingham print, especially for the spring and summer. This shirt is a nice lightweight 100% cotton in navy and white with a shirtail hemline. The pattern matches perfectly across the front, which is pretty impressive for $39.50.

These gauze button up shirts are so perfect for spring/summer weather. I have pale blue and white from last year. This year they’ve added this pretty lilac. It’s a nice weight cotton and totally opaque in all colors. Of course gauze never needs ironing and doesn’t wrinkle the same way linen does so it’s perfect for steamy weather. It comes in 6 colors this year in regular and petite.

I really enjoy your outfit posts and tips on making daily life better. Whether you shop in store or online, many retailers have forgotten the value of having someone wearing a pulled together outfit. When you see someone wearing an outfit, you can imagine how it would look on yourself and give ideas as to what else to pair within your existing wardrobe. Online shopping is particularly poor as clothing displays only by article and category. This limits your ability to determine how it would benefit by adding to your wardrobe. Thanks for helping us out!
I love the pink cotton sweater polo on year. Nice pop of color that flatters you.
FYI when I clicked on the Ann Taylor 30% off link it didn’t work……didn’t know if you’d get credit for purchases.
Have a great day!
I’m sorry that didn’t work
I love the gingham shirt! The gauze is great in the lilac and the blue! I have to always shop online as no stores within 50 miles of our rural mountain town. You help me so much with style and sizing, thank you Jennifer!
I loved all your looks! You looked great in all of them.
I am sad to know that stores are carrying less inventory as I do not like to shop online. I end up returning a lot more than I keep when I purchase online. And returning is still a hassle.
I really like all these JCrew outfits. A few months ago we were out of town for a CPA conference for my husband and right by the hotel they had a Factory Outlook mall and for the first time I got to go to the store. I loved everything 😍
So true. Shops are closing and malls are turning stores into pickleball courts. Times are changing.
Yes, I read about things like that.
I tried to get the Striped drop-shoulder pullover online and it is out of stock in my size, bummer! I have a J Crew Factory store near me, so you’ve inspired me to visit. I have to try jeans on in person since styles within the same brand can fit differently. Thanks for your try on features and comments on the clothes, so helpful!
I love J. Crew Factory. Thanks for sharing this dressing room. I especially love their gauze tops, such great quality and so comfy.
I agree. They are great shirts
Hi Jennifer, I really appreciate the try-on sessions. As retailers close stores and/or limit inventory, I have to order an item in multiple sizes in order to get the right fit. If returns are not easy and free, it’s time-consuming (and costly) to just have the opportunity to try on and touch a garment to see if I might want to add it to my wardrobe. Your blog is so helpful!
You mentioned not finding much to try on at brick and mortar stores. Have you thought about ordering clothes online and having a try-on session that you photograph for the blog? I follow a few other fashion bloggers who do this. It is interesting to see what works and what does not work for them.
I have thought about trying that and I’ll look into it more.
I love your posts and have purchased many of your featured items. I’m obsessed with brooches since you introduced them to your wardrobe. I’d love to see how to use them in different ways and what if any other jewelry to wear with them. Thanks for sharing these posts. I look forward to them everyday.
I’m wearing one on my sleeve today! Brooches can be pinned anywear, except where you lean or sit on them.
J Crew is more my style than JJilll/Talbots/Chicos so thanks for the try on. I prefer Factory for some things and regular J Crew for others. I want to recommend the Factory girlfriend t. It’s cotton, crew neck, slubby but not see through. I size up because I don’t like my ts to be skin tight. Great for layering or wearing solo. Forgiving over the stomach area! I also like Factory blouses a lot, both casual and the dressier ones. I share your frustration at the dearth of brick and mortar inventory!
Thanks for the tee recommendation! I’ll check it out. I dearly wish there was a reg J.Crew near me.
Love this post! I have purchased quite a few knit tops through both J. Crew Factory and J. Crew – online. I do find with Factory purchases (for myself) I need to size down.
The tops are quality, comfy and prices can’t be beat.
Nice outfits. The ones I would purchase are sold out 😩
Sorry about that. They do often restock things.
I discovered this store and love the classic styles and of course the price! I got the black chinos you modeled, the white and the beautiful bright blue gauze shirts, a white opaque tee that fits beautifully and a pair of light beige suede loafers. Score! This brand is now one of my faves.
They have great little accessories too.
