Easy Does It

Spending so much time indoors has me sliding my pants with zippers, further down the rod and reaching for leggings. To be honest, I’m spending more time eating and sitting these days so leggings are just comfier.

One of my favorite pairs is these sculpt pull-on jeggings in dark denim. They look just regular 5 pocket jeans, minus the zipper, stiff waistband, and button which makes them super comfy. In fact, I’m reaching for them so often, I just ordered them in this lighter wash for spring. FYI, spring has not been canceled:) I’m actually doing a fair amount of shopping to fill in my spring wardrobe because most brands are having huge sales and offering free shipping:)

Poplin Pullover

Along with the lighter wash jeans I ordered this poplin pullover. The fresh blue and white stripe will be great with blue jeans now, and white jeans in the summer. Its crisp fabric will also feel fabulous when the weather warms up. I also love that it simply slips over my head and has no buttons. Pull-on clothes are such an easy way to get dressed and when life is tough, they’re just plain smart.

Here are 4 spring outfits with these pull-on jeans. Each one has a pull-on top and slip-on shoes. How easy is that? I added some lightweight straw earrings to remind us that spring really is here.

These outfits are easy peasy to wear now and will take you out and about in style very soon. They’re casual, comfy and perfect for social distancing.

Have you noticed all the tie-dye garments online? They are everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I never thought I’d even consider wearing them again, but this tunic has me tempted. Would you wear a tie-dye?

Please share what you’re reaching for to wear these days. We could all use some fresh inspiration.

Thanks for reading and remember to wear what makes you feel confident.

  1. Though a good portion of our snow is gone, in the area I’m in we are still in winter wear. Sad face …. 🙁 Can hardly wait until the sun at least shines and it warms up! As in my 70’s and due to restrictions (because of this virus) am beginning to experience cabin fever already and do admit yesterday was the first time I applied any makeup in two weeks as one of my daughters made a ‘porch drop’ so wanted to look my best. (She is in policing whereas the other is in the medical profession so are on the front lines plus my son has been in self-isolation since Mar. 10th (at his country residence) as was showing mild symptoms of the virus upon his return from Peru that escalated in following days, but are now thankfully subsiding.)

As to the tie-dye garments, ah ‘the good old hippie days’ proving ” what is old is new again”. Now if it were only true and as easy for us Boomers …. lol!

Before closing, just want to thank you Jennifer for all your dedication that gives enjoyment to your readers like myself. -Brenda-

    P.S.: Loved the ‘dignity post’.

    1. Your children are the hero’s here, helping to keep us all safe. Be well and be sure to do something nice for yourself.

  2. I have a top that is the dupe of that one, Jennifer. You will want to wear it every day. Enjoy!

  3. I’m a tank top, light shirt and drawstring or elastic waist, around the house person but I wear regular jeans with zippers when I go out. What changes is the pants and shoes for shopping. Loafers or lace ups replace my easy slides for around the house. What doesnt change is the tank and light shirt. It is hot here a,ready. I have all ceiling fans going
, we have one in every room. All doors and windows open. Basically summer has arrived for us here on the Coast.
This post is perfect for dressing me today.

    1. Wow, lucky you. This time of year can be pretty dreary for most of us.

I really like the tie-dye you linked to at Talbots. Elevated from some of the stuff we all used to do at home.

  5. I really benefit from maintaining some type of daily routine. Maybe it makes things seem somewhat “normal” in my home? So, that means shower, clean clothes, hair, makeup and then plans for meals and other activities for the day.
I really like the tie dye shirts and need to do some shopping 🛍 (online for now). It might be a fun addition for this summer.
Thankyou for the fun daily posts Jennifer. I feel like I leave my house for a few minutes everyday when I read your blog. It’s a great escape!!
    Stay well ladies …
