Classic Summer Shoe: Espadrilles
Happy Monday ladies. Is there any more quintessentially perfect summer shoe than an espadrille? Today I’m sharing a variety of classic summer espadrilles with varying fabrications and heel heights.

I love my navy Castañer espadrilles, but the wedge height isn’t what I want to wear on a daily basis so I ordered a bunch of optons to find some lower ones.

These striped ones stole my heart the moment I saw them. I didn’t know Jack Rogers even made espadrilles, but they do and very cute ones, thank you very much. These are blue striped canvas and they also come in. platinum leather…so cute too! They have a 2″ heel with a 1/2″ platform. These are very comfy but not for a full day on my feet.

These have a suede upper, lightly padded insole, and flexible sole. They come in 4 colors with a 2 1/4″ heel and 1″ platform making the heel elevation just 1 1/4″. These are amazingly comfortable and the suede is very soft.

These canvas wedges have a buckled ankle strap and rubber sole. They come in 2 colors with a 2 1/2″ wedge and approximately a 1/2″ platform. The fabric feels a bit more substantial than the other Toni Pons espadrilles and they’re not as flexible.

This canvas upper comes in 5 colors and one print with a cushioned insole. It’s a slip-on style with a 2″ heel and 1/2 platform so it feels like a 1/2″ heel. These felt like slippers from the moment I put them on so I wore them for a full day of running around.

This platform espadrille sandal comes in 3 colors with a memory foam footbed and grippy rubber sole. It has a 2 1/2″ heel with a 2″ platform and feels flat on the foot. It has a leather upper with an adjustable buckle strap. These soles are not as flexible as ones without a platform.

This lightweight canvas wedge comes in 3 colors with an elastic slingback strap. The wedge is about an inch making these feel virtually flat. I could wear these to run a mile…just kidding, but they’re the comfiest of the bunch.

These have a notched linen upper and woven ankle ties. It comes in 3 colors with a 2 3/4″ heel and 1″ platform, making the heel elevation just 1 3/4″. The checkerboard back is super cute. The linen upper is stiffer than canvas giving them a dressier feel and the notched vamp is really flattering.

This flat espadrille has a 1 1/4″ heel and a 1″ platform making the heel elevation virtually nil. They have a leather upper, cushioned footbed, and arch support. Super comfy and 45% off in this color.

These have a lightweight canvas upper, lightly padded footbed, and flexible rubber sole. They come in 4 colors with an elastic slingback strap that’s very comfy. The heel is 2 1/4″ with a 3/4″ platform making the heel feel about 1 1/4″ high. Very comfy and my favorite shade of cool-toned taupe!

These come in natural or black canvas with a 2 3/4″ heel and a 1″ platform, making the heel elevation just 1 3/4″. They have a cushioned insole, a back zipper, and a grippy rubber sole. These feel very solid on but my ankles are kind of scrawny for these bows so I’d probably untie the bow, wrap it to the back and retie it there for a shorter end.

These come in 2 colors. They have a cushioned insole, a suede upper, with a ‘toothy’ rubber sole. The heel is 2 3/4″ with a 1″ platform giving a relative heel elevation of 1 3/4″. It has a back zipper and the top strap closes with velcro in a great neutral color.

These slingback espadrilles come in 6 different colored stripe options with a canvas upper and rubber sole. It has a 2 1/4″ heel with a 3/4″ platform making the heel elevation feel like 1 1/2″. These are comfy and the stripe is adorable.
I love canvas espadrilles because the fabric breathes and keeps my feet from feeling too hot. They look cute with skirts, dresses, shorts, and pants making them a perfect summer shoe in my book.
Are you a fan of espadrilles?
Thanks for reading ladies and remember to wear what makes you feel confident.

A very informative post for your readers perhaps, but I can’t help wondering how many pairs you kept, how many were returned, and how many of those ended up in the landfill. Unfortunately, too many people are unaware of the fact that that’s what happens to a high percentage of returns.
Do love Espadrilles however don’t currently own a pair myself; however do have a pair of very comfy roped low wedge, single strap leather look sandals with a removable/buckle ankle strap that on occasion I just remove the latter and replace with cotton twill tape then tie that creates ‘an Espadrilles hybrid’ of sorts … lol! That being said; do love what you featured and for an added tip, one might wish to spray them with an fabric stain and water repellent upholstery protector to keep them looking like new.

I have several pairs of the Toni Pons – I find them very comfortable to wear and I like the extra bit of height. I avoid styles with ankle wraps
