What’s New At Eileen Fisher This Summer (And What’s Worth It)
For this Eileen Fisher summer 2026 try-on, I got to the store twice and loved almost everything. Nearly everything new ended up on my body, a few pieces ended up in my bag, and all of it is here so you can see how it looks on a woman who’s 5’4″ and over 50. You can see my other try-ons here.

This woven plissé set is sold as separates and comes in Cornflower, a deeper blue, and a striking berry shade. The plissé pants are pull-on, with a slimmer fit through the hips before easing into a wide, fluid leg. The sleeveless top has a classic collar, fits neatly through the shoulders, and then releases into a looser shape with a curved hem.
I love how polished the two pieces look together without feeling fussy. The woven crinkle texture means no ironing, and it’s far less likely to show wrinkles, which is exactly the kind of fabric I appreciate when the weather heats up and summer is in full swing.
More Woven Plissé Summer Pieces

These organic linen full-length trousers are a nice medium weight, so they drape nicely and hold their shape. They have a fly-front closure, side pockets, and an elasticized waistband in the back for comfort. I’m wearing the walnut, and they come in tomato or black.
I paired them with this linen jersey tank top, which I’ve been collecting in various colors for years. It’s fitted through the shoulders and flares gently at the hem, so you can tuck or not tuck. It’s a machine-washable, dryable, great layering piece that’s cool in the hottest weather.
I topped the look with this organic linen deláve V-neck long cardigan in the same walnut. It has a single button closure, but I like these cardigans worn open and flowing.

Here are the same linen pants in tomato red. It may have been the store lighting, but they didn’t appear overly warm or cool based. I paired them with this organic linen shell. It’s a simple shape with side slits that looks perfect untucked. I wanted to try it on with this coordinating half-circle skirt, but they were out of it in any size close to mine.
The Many Colors Of Eileen Fisher Linen For Summer

These stretch organic cotton poplin wide-leg pants are similar to the version I bought last year and wore the daylights out of. They’re slim through the hip with two side pockets and a comfy, wide elastic waistband. The poplin is mid-weight with added stretch, which makes all the difference in a pair of pants. They come in 4 fabulous summer colors.
I tucked in the linen tank and topped the look with this organic cotton jacquard round-neck jacket. The slightly cropped length makes it a great proportion for the wider pants this summer. The fabric has vertical rows of texture that resemble a rib pattern, though the surface is flat. I also like the white buttons. They’re useful without drawing attention away from the jacket’s clean shape.

This crushed silk round neck dress is fabulous for so many occasions. It has a slight A-line shape, which gives it nice movement when you walk. The fabric is perfect for travel and so easy to care for… machine wash cold, twist to crinkle, and dry twisted, like our broomstick skirts back in the day. I chose this field color, and it also comes in black or teal. You could dress this up for an event, or throw on sandals and enjoy it for everyday.

This organic linen/cotton V-neck cardigan is as light as a feather, with a mother-of-pearl single-button closure and an all-over rib texture. The set-in sleeves make it fitted through the shoulders, which is so nice after years and years of dropped shoulders. This comes in 3 shades to coordinate with their other pieces in this collection.
These organic cotton pucker check wide-leg pants are as comfy as can be. As with most Eileen Fisher garments, they’re available in petite, but I prefer a longer leg on me. The pants come in 4 shades and have several coordinating tops, so you can wear them as a coordinating set, but I like these on their own. The puckery fabric means no wrinkles, and the airy cut means they’ll be very cool on hot days.
How are you thinking about summer dressing this year? Are sets appealing to you, or do you prefer to keep things more mix and match? I always love hearing how you approach it, so leave a comment below.

Don’t care for most matching sets. Look too much like pajamas to me😊. I don’t feel that way about what you showed from EF, however. Will have to look at places where I can find EF on deep discounts.
I love these Eileen Fisher try-ons! Thank you!
That RED was amazing on you…..you must get!
Eileen Fisher is my biggest temptation, truly. No one does linen better than EF. The variations on fabrics are usually well geared towards hot weather and if carefully chosen, can be hand or machine washed rather than dry-cleaned.
I’ve learned to peruse the Seasonal Planner releases for each month, always looking for wearable outfits in lighter, warm colors. The May series, which had the Walnut and Sun-Dried Tomato was very good for those colors. However, June, July, and August have been a big disappointment for me.
I really like the way that blue cardigan, white top, and blue-and-white puckered pants look on you. That cardigan is very crisp and makes a really fresh look with those cute checked pants. I also notice that most all the tops are cropped and flattering to a petite or short-torso woman, which is good information and that length really suits you.
Thankyou for visiting EF and showing us how these styles and colors look on real women. It is a big help to me when it comes to choosing how to best spend money in the EF world.
I’m so glad it’s helpful Marlene. I’m looking forward to seeing the next colors.
I love most everything you tried on today. I wish I could afford EF clothes. They are my style and I love the Breeze color. Your hair is really looking beautiful in your new cut! I’m thinking of growing out my hair again. You are my muse.
You’re so kind Sydney. I find the bob just as easy as shorter layers.
For those readers talking about EF prices — I buy ALL my EF on eBay and have for almost 20 years. I can purchase new with tags (NWT) items for less than half price. Further, sellers provide measurements for the exact item you are buying, which helps you figure out sizing. If there’s an item you absolutely must have, this week, then I recommend buying EF at Bloomingdale’s — between their Loyalist points and their sales, you never have to pay full price.
Great points. I also recommend the sale sections. When things go 70% off, it’s a great deal.
Hi, I haven’t bought a co-ordinated set in years. I love fabrics & colors to complement each other vs. matching. I love some of what you chose, they all look good on you, but I would choose a top here & a bottom there vs. a set.
It’s already HOT and humid in Texas so I’m wearing lightweight cotton or linen dresses every day. It’s the only way to stay cool here for the next four months.
I’m becoming a bigger fan of skirts this year than I ever expected I would.
I started buying Eileen Fisher clothes 15-20 years ago and still have and wear many of the pieces. We are lucky to have an Eileen Fisher outlet store near us and they sell Eileen Fisher Renew as well as standard new merchandise. The cut and fabrics are always beautiful and flattering tho paying full price is not always easy! Since Renew is available online, people who don’t live near an outlet store can buy via the Internet.
I used to shop at the Outlet in the Bay Area. It was fabulous.
The Eileen Fisher pieces you showed today are beautiful! It would be hard to not walk out with everything! They all look very nice on you as well. I signed up for their emails a few days ago. 😉
Be sure you haunt their sale section online. It’s a goldmine of great pieces.
Love your Eileen Fisher try on. What pieces should a person purchase if you wanted to get started with EF? Is it true to size? Should your size up or down ?
I love all the pieces of your try on.
They run very large and many are intended to be oversized. I’d start with some of their washable crepe or linen. The quality is wonderful.
the red outfit is spectacular on you….what a great shade of red.
It’s a very interesting red! I was so tempted.
Love these outfits!! Out of my budget, but very nice!!!
Check their sale section online. When new collections come in they start to mark things down.
Good morning ! I love you honey & all your style choices but the prices prohibit me from making purchases for myself being a retiree.
Dear Ann,
I have purchased several items from their RENEW shop. Since I am a fan I know what sizes to buy. It is a good place to get started.
I bought the plisse nehru jacket in a blue called Haze, abd will pair it with white linen pants, black cropped pants and even navy pants. Or with a white tank and my white midi skirt. Very wearable for lots of occasions. Nice post!
The plissé is really light and lovely. What a great purchase and so versatile!
I like your blue set, it looks great on you. I don’t think the match set is the look for me however. I’ve yet to buy one that I didn’t return, even when I tried them on in the store. Somehow, when I get them home, they seem like pajamas to me! I like to coordinate I guess, but not match. Love the light weight blue sweater, so pretty.
Matching sets have been popular for a few seasons but they’re not for everyone. I have seen women looking very chic in them.
LOVE all of the fashions on you especially the tomato red one! I wish I could afford Eileen fashions.
I love the sets, but the EF colors just aren’t wowing me this season. I was wondering about he tomato red. I don’t live near a store to see it in person. It helps seeing the linen trousers on you. I wish they came in more colors.
The tomato will probably be too soft and warm for you. The full length linen trousers are great this year but I found the white slightly sheer as always.
Wow! Love it all on you. In recent years, EF has been hit or miss for me. But this season is perfection.
I’ve found the same. This is a great season for them.
Hi Jennifer,
No wonder you wanted to bring everything you tried on home from this Eileen Fisher summer collection!! The pieces are beautiful and you looked fantastic in all of them. You showed great restraint in just going home with a few items!
All of these outfits look stunning on you. The plisse fabric travels like a dream. I always come back to Eileen Fisher.
Same! It travels so beautifully.
I keep coming back to EF too. They’re different and fun!
