Elevated and Affordable Fall Fashion from Amazon
I don’t usually turn to Amazon for fashion, but last year, I ordered this “lady jacket” and have been delighted with the quality. This fall, I’ve been diving deeper into their offerings and am pleasantly surprised by some of the elevated and affordable fall fashion I’ve come across. From cozy sweaters to chic outerwear, they have a fantastic selection for fall that feels perfect for women over 50. Since today is the first day of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, I thought I would round up a few of my favorite Amazon fashion finds that offer both comfort and style without breaking the bank.

Fall Fashion from Amazon for Women Over 50
Plaid Shawl Wrap
I’m thrilled to see shawls and wraps making a comeback this season, though they’ve always had a spot in my own closet. They’re perfect for layering over everything from a long-sleeved tee to a little black dress for date night. I love this neutral plaid one, plus it comes in 37 other color and pattern options.
Striped Cardigan Sweater
This striped Lady Jacket cardigan is the perfect layering piece for this season. It’s inspired by more expensive versions, and the quality is fabulous. I find Amazon a great place to try out trends without the heavy investment. Pair it with jeans and loafers for a casual day, or toss it over a dress for a more polished look. This now comes in many color combinations to suit any color palette.
Small Leather Crossbody Purse
We often talk a lot about quiet luxury and how to look expensive on a budget. One of my favorite tricks is avoiding big, flashy logos. Instead, I love pieces like this small leather crossbody that is simple, timeless, and has a refined look that feels expensive without trying too hard.
Satin Midi Skirt
I’ve been spotting satin skirts all over this fall at retailers like Quince, Talbots, Chico’s, and Eileen Fisher. I love the soft, flowy drape they offer, and the flattering, feminine silhouette is just so easy to wear. If you’re shopping on a budget, this affordable option from Amazon is a great way to get the look without splurging. You can dress it up with a fitted blouse and heels or keep it cozy with a chunky knit sweater, sneakers, or boots. The description mentions silk, but it is polyester.

I was pleasantly surprised to find AG jeans on Amazon. This is a brand I normally only see at Nordstrom. I love these wide-leg crop jeans, especially in this dark, rich color.

Matching sets are still going strong, and I can’t help but notice women sporting them everywhere. These cozy sweater-and-pants combos are incredibly versatile, allowing you to mix and match for a variety of looks. When I’m shopping for something like this for myself, I always keep an eye out for those elevated details—like this contrasting trim—that truly make a difference. This set comes in 4 color options.
Adjustable Thin Belt
Whether you’re pairing it with high-waisted jeans for a polished look or cinching your dress at the waist for a flattering silhouette, a great belt can really pull your entire look together. This thin, adjustable one comes in lots of colors with either gold or silver hardware.

I have it in blue from last year and just ordered it in “wine red,” which is soft and perfect for my coloring.

Unfortunately the Canadian Amazon selections are not as plentiful as those in the US plus those that might be attainable often have an additional shipping/import expense, so the only ‘fashion items’ I have ever ordered from them is more in the line of accessories. i.e.: Naturalizer footwear that I do know fit and are of quality. Belts and the odd piece of jewelry. Also have purchased over-sized blanket scarfs or pashima shawls namely for their fabric or pattern that I have restyled/repurposed to make a cozy neck scarf for myself or perhaps a houseware item like a cover for a toss cushion or table runner etc. In closing; great suggestions though for affordable options. -Brenda-

I do shop sometimes on Amazon, and have not been disappointed. My only issue is that there are sometimes too many items to choose from and don’t have time to go through many pages of clothing items.
Wraps/ruanas/shawls are great! I have several for cooler weather. And I just discovered Quince recently, very impressed with their clothes. I have a pair of their linen pants and they are so comfortable that they feel like pajamas!
