The holiday season is a great time to add a little something special to your wardrobe, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend a lot on something you can only wear once a year. I’ve rounded up a stylish collection of festive clothes and accessories for women over 50. The best part? Everything is under $100, and most are versatile enough to keep wearing even after the celebrations are over.

Festive Clothes Under $100 for Women Over 50

This velvet blazer is an easy way to make any outfit look festive without feeling too dressed up. It works beautifully for holiday parties, but looks just as great with jeans for a casual dinner.

If you’re looking to add a little sparkle this holiday season, this twist front top comes in lots of colors and can easily be toned down with a blazer or layered under a cozy sweater.

Tuck this button down into tailored trousers or a skirt for a polished, put-together look. This pale gold can be worn year-round, but it also comes in timeless holiday shades like green, red, and burgundy.

This midi slip skirt reminds me of my favorite silk skirt from Quince. This one isn’t real silk, but at under $30, it’s a great budget-friendly alternative.

Pair this velvet dress with a low heel or ballet flat, statement jewelry, and an evening clutch, and you’re ready for any special event on your calendar this season.

I love to pull out my faux fur jacket this time of year. The cropped length of this jacket hits at the smallest part of your waist, which helps to flatter your figure. Wear it over a dress, or pair it with high-waisted pants.

Pair this wrap with a black, white, or red tee or turtleneck for an easy, stylish look. The classic plaid pattern has a Burberry vibe and is perfect for this time of year!
Festive Accessories Under $100

This clutch is spacious enough to hold all your essentials—and then some. It comes in every color of the rainbow, but this subtle gold is perfect for any wedding or special event, no matter the season.

This handbag is inspired by Bottega’s Andiamo clutch. The black version is a classic you can wear again and again, but if you’re in the mood for something more festive, try the green, burgundy, and gold options.

Add a pop of red to any outfit for under $12 with this clutch. It can be carried as a handheld bag or worn with the skinny chain strap for a more hands-free option. Also available in black.

If you’re traveling for the holidays and don’t want to risk bringing your expensive jewelry, these pearl drop earrings are under $15.

I also found these snowflake earrings for under $10. They’ll add a festive touch to absolutely any outfit, from a casual crewneck and jeans or a fancier holiday dress.

These mixed metal earrings are super versatile and be mixed and matched with all your other jewelry.

These sparkly faux ruby earrings give the perfect pop of holiday color. They’re also available in blue sapphire, which gives off Princess Diana vibes.

Layer this sparkly bracelet with others for a stacked look, or wear it on its own.
Festive Attire for Women

If you’re looking for a new pair of holiday pajamas for Christmas morning or your next holiday movie marathon, I found a few affordable options, including these Christmas tree ones.

Here’s another comfy option for winter pajamas. Reviews say this nightgown is super soft and comfortable, plus it has pockets!

If you’ve got an ugly Christmas sweater party on your calendar, you’ll want to find something super cheesy and over the top. You can check out your local thrift store or craft your own, but this one is a great option, too.
Do you have any holiday parties and gatherings to attend this season? What will you be wearing?

You look awesome in black!!
Thanks Wendy. I do love to wear black.
Your selections are lovely. I find that almost all celebrations to which I am invited are casual. But I overdress anyway and don’t care what anyone else wears.
We need to dress to please ourself!
Gorgeous, affordable holiday options, Jennifer! Thank you for curating such classy selections! The snowflake earrings made me smile because they remind me of my pumpkin pie slice earrings I bought a few years ago through your blog here! I love the velvet dress, jacket and faux fur jacket. The Christmas tree pajamas are super cute, and I like that they are cotton since I get so warm anytime of the year sleeping. I had never really thought of adding a faux fur jacket to my wardrobe but it would be so handy to put over festive, holiday outfits instead of my dull, blah everyday coat. Thanks for that tip!! You’re the best! I appreciate all of your hard work and that you always teach me something new to make me love fashion even more!
Savor this festive and fun season!
Rita
I only wear my faux fur this time of year and always feel so luxe wearing it. Have a great day Rita!
I LOVE the velvet dress in navy! But have zero places to wear it! It would hang in the closet until I gave it away. No events this year. The velvet blazer in green is also lovely. I will settle for a pair of those snowflake earrings.
It seems like most of our holiday gets togethers are very casual. Something like these sparkly sweaters would be great. I love all the jewelry you showed. That adds a lot to an outfit too. 🎄
A sparkly or festive sweater is about all I need this year too.
