Highlights from the weekend sales:

GAP AND GAP CANADA has their Friends & Family Sale with 40% off everything! I’ve been so impressed with their quality, and you ladies are loving the brand too. Stay tuned to see me wearing this top and these pants in the New Off White color in no makeup, and disheveled hair for my latest trip to an otherworldly place.

ANN TAYLOR has 50% off everything and free shipping. I’m tempted by the style and color of this Cabled Sweater Jacket. This lavender collared cardigan was a bestseller after my last try-on and is now on sale.

SOMA has some amazing promotions! Buy 3 panties, get 3 free: buy one get one Enbliss bra: 40% off Sleep, and more. This is worth checking out! This Cool Night Lace wide-leg sleep set looks so elegant! Picture the red one around the holidays.

CHICO’S has a big promotion, plus some of their holiday collection has arrived, so I’m heading in for a try-on. This Rhinestone Sweater Blazer would be fun over jeans and a tee during the holidays..and this Pearl Broach Denim Blazer looks amazing!

TALBOTS has 30% off your entire collection. It’s the perfect time for a flannel vest, and this one has some fun details. This is one of my favorite turtlenecks that I wear year after year. This Snow Leopard Jacket landed in my cart the second I saw it. I love a cool-toned animal print, and they are rare!

Hello and thanks for your post. I quite like the idea of the trench, scarf and hat and am trying to decide if I can get away with that look here, just north of San Francisco, where it is decidedly warmer than Vancouver. What do you think?

    1. I wear this exact same look back home in northern California. Go for it!

    1. Thanks got being here with us Holly

  3. Great outfit! Very “Keatonesque”, only a little more polished.

  4. I love your snazzy hat and trench coat look. Very chic!!!

  5. Love your outfit, especially the hat! You look like a woman on a mission! I look forward to reading about your fashion adventures every day. As a former boutique owner, I truly admire your style. Happy sales!

  6. Had to switch from ac to the furnace this morning at 40 degrees outside! My hot tea is hitting the spot this morning. I have that same white pair of sweats from the Gap! They are thick and soft and well made. I love mine! This may be the quiet morning to wear mine. I also have them in pale grey and a top in an oatmeal shade. It is windy and I feel the chill of fall today even with the sun out. Have a fun shopping day!

  7. Just curious…..when you mention Vancouver, do you mean
    Washington or British Columbia?

  8. You’re outfit is so perfect! Classic and beautiful!

  9. I think that this outfit you are wearing is the best! You look comfortable and elegant. Love the scarf and hat. 👍👍👍

  11. Yay for shopping excursions. Can’t wait to see what you find. I received the Chicos catalogue yesterday and they sure had some fun things for the holidays. I’m tempted to grab my neighbor and go take a look.

Thank you for the information on the Eileen Fisher silk dress. I am looking for a dress for my grandsons wedding. It looks like I could wear it with a wrap and nice jewelry and be confident that I look wedding worthy.
Has anyone purchased this dress, if so please tell me how it fits. The online reviews are not very helpful. Thank You !

    1. I have this dress in a few colors and love it. I too wore it with a shawl and it was perfect for the event. I paid full price so if it’s on sale and your color – go for it. Have a wonderful time at the wedding!!

      1. Beth, I have 3 of these (all bought at super sale) and love it. I have a plus size hourglass figure and prefer my largest typical size. My regular size fits, but the seam at my hips doesn’t seem to lay smoothly. If you are not hourglass, your usual size will work. If you are slender and like more fitted clothing, you could even size down. That’s one ofthe nice things about EF clothing…you can wear multiple sizes depending on the look you want. I wear it fancy with the Eileen silk tie top of the same color. Casually I wear it with a cardigan, jean jacket, or silk button down left open. I find it easy to care for following the directions. I could wear it every day really, but perfect for an elegant event. Enjoy it.
