Weekend Reading 12.06.25

Happy weekend! We are having rain, fog, cool temps, but no snow yet. I always hope to see a tiny bit while we’re up in Vancouver, but it may not materialize this trip. This is what I wore for a day that included Christmas shopping, a stop into the local bookstore and coffee at one of our favorite spots.

WEARING – CASHMERE SWEATER size S / TALBOTS JEANS size 10P / LEOPARD SCARF / SIMILAR BOOTIES / CUYANA TOTE BAG / EARRINGS / FRAMES / SIMILAR WOOL COAT

I’ve had some questions lately about how to find the items I’m wearing or talking about. You can shop the pieces I’m wearing by clicking the words in the captions, or anywhere they’re linked in the text. They’ll take you straight to the item, and if you purchase, I may earn a small commission at no cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting my business!

  1. Enjoy your time in Vancouver even if it doesn’t snow. We finally got 5.5” and it is slowly melting off. It is very windy as we get the weather from the west moving in. We will put up our decorations tomorrow. Hope there is less wind. We have a walkin closet but my husband actually has more clothes than I do. I purge at least twice a year when I switch out seasonal clothes. When I can’t get another thing in my drawers or closet, I really need to purge. I also need to stop buying new clothes! The sales tempted me but only for things I really needed to replace. I keep things forever. So does Brent!

    1. I tend to do a closet clean out when I notice too many similar items. I’d rather have one really nice than 4 similar, just okay items.

  2. Hi Jennifer-
I do always wonder when I see you in your fabulous outfits-how big is your closet???? Do you have any rules like if you buy something new, you get rid of something old? I know you have 2 places, so that helps spread the clothing out, but still, you must have a huge closet!!!!

    1. Both closets are ridiculously small. Especially in Vancouver. I do edit my clothes and footwear pretty often and donate. And I do use half of the guest room closet in California for off season clothes. I try to follow the rule of one in one out. But it’s doesn’t always work evenly. Sometimes it’s one in and three out.
