Favorite Eileen Fisher Pieces From Their 2025 March Collection

I love getting into the Eileen Fisher store for a try-on because there are no stores within 100 miles from where I live in California. The colors in their latest collection have something for everyone, and I felt like a kid in a candy store. I seldom purchase things during a dressing room try-on, but a few treasures did come home with me this time. Here’s my favorites from the Eileen Fisher March 2025 collection.

A try-on is when I go into a store and style their latest collection so readers can see what’s new and get some ideas for how they could wear it. For size reference, I’m 5’4″, which puts me on the cusp of petite. I have wide shoulders and straight hips with no obvious curves. Eileen Fisher is a size-inclusive brand, with most pieces coming in regular and petite sizes XXS-3X.

CRINKLE SILK HABUTAI CLASSIC COLLAR SHIRT size PS on left and size S on right / LIGHTWEIGHT WIDE LEG PONTE PANT size XS / WASHABLE STRETCH CREPE PANTS size S on right

I’m a big fan of their crinkled silk fabrics, so I made a beeline for this classic collared shirt. It comes in wheat and this eclipse color, which is a grayed, soft blue. I’m showing a side-by-side with a petite small on the left and a regular small on the right. I prefer the longer top over the slimmer pants. They also have this pleated shirt in Alpine and an amazing Bluette for order here.

This slim washable crepe pant is my favorite for travel. They come in 7 colors this season, and I’m wearing the Eclipse. This pant feels as comfy as your favorite leggings but is a lot more polished. On the left, I’m wearing the wide-leg ponte pant, which has a slightly cropped silhouette. Both pant styles are pull-on, which is a favorite for many women.

Here is the same pleated shirt and slim crepe pants in the wheat color.

LIGHTWEIGHT WIDE LEG PONTE PANT size XS / ITALIAN CASHMERE V-NECK TOP size S

Here are the same wide-leg ponte pants worn with a gorgeous Italian cashmere sweater. I love that EF is making more set-in sleeves in this collection, which is a better option for most women; yes, it’s more expensive to make, but it looks more flattering. This also comes in a bright, gorgeous azure color. It’s made from a lightweight ribbed cashmere with a beautiful drape.

WASHABLE FLEX PONTE SHORT BLAZER size XXS / WASHABLE PONTE FULL LENGTH PONTE TROUSERS size XS

This is a gorgeous Ponte “suit” that would be perfect for so many occasions. The double-breasted short blazer has a really lovely shape and is petite-friendly, even in the reg length. They only had an XXS for me to try on, which is too snug across the chest, so the XS would be a better fit for me. I paired it with these washable ponte full-length trousers that fit beautifully. They have elastic at the waist with a zip and button closure. Since the ponte fabric has spandex, both these pieces have a soft structure with a gentle stretch.

LIGHT COTTON NYLON TRENCH COAT size XS

This lightweight trench coat is unlined, making it a great spring piece. I’m wearing ebony, and it also comes in a biscuit color. I love the asymmetrical closure that appears double-breasted but only has one row of buttons. The XS fit, but I’d probably go with a small so I could wear it over a cotton sweater in the spring.

CRUSHED SILK BAND COLLAR LONG SHIRT size S

This crushed silk long shirt overwhelms me buttoned all the way up, but I couldn’t resist trying on this seafoam color. I think this would be fun worn open as a duster over some silk pants and top for a cruise or fancy dinner out in the warmer months. This pleated fabric adds a fun dimension to every item and is so perfect for travel. I also love the energy that the subtle iridescence adds.

For my second visit to the store, I got a smaller, darker dressing room and branched out to more sea and beach colors.

WASHED ORGANIC COTTON POPLIN LONG SHIRT size S / COTTON BLEND PONTE PANTS size XS

These cotton blend ponte pants are in the color Alpine, which appears more teal than my image shows. EF ponte is superior, and I’ve been slowly building my collection. It’s my fabric of choice for travel because it’s substantial yet has plenty of stretch. I sized down to an XS, which surprisingly fits, so I think this shape is pretty forgiving. I’m wearing it under this organic cotton poplin shirt. It’s a nice long tunic length, which covers all the necessary things when wearing slim pants or leggings.

WASHED ORGANIC COTTON POPLIN SHIRT size S / ORGANIC COTTON SLIM JEANS size PS

This organic poplin shirt is slightly shorter and has no chest pocket. This color is called Dragonfly, which looks crisp and fresh with white, black, or denim. I love the feel of these shirts, and this one almost came home with me. These slim white jeans are a tad small for me in petite small. In a regular S (my size), the legs would be a smidge looser. They’re fabulous jeans for those who prefer a slimmer leg. The cotton has 2% spandex, which is enough to be comfy but not stretch out.

COTTON BLEND PONTE PANT size XS / ORGANIC LINEN COTTON SLUB CREWNECK size S / ORGANIC COTTON DENIM WIDE LEG JEANS size PS / PIMA COTTON TURTLENECK SIZE S

Interestingly, these petite small white jeans are a better fit with the wider leg. I’ve tried these on before for you here at Nordstrom, and they’re as flattering as ever. I paired the white jeans with this linen cotton slub crewneck sweater and this Pima cotton turtleneck that I snagged on sale. I’m not sure how I missed this Delfina color, but I love it!

The linen cotton sweater has raglan sleeves in a drapey knit that is perfect for layering now and worn on its own when the weather warms up. This comes in 9 colors this season, each nicer than the next. I’m wearing the dragonfly shade. The fit and color of this are so flattering that I brought this one home, too. On the left, I’m wearing it over the cotton ponte pants in Alpine. I love the way these blues all flow together for a tonal look that’s anything but boring.

Here’s the linen cotton sweater I showed above, this time in a jade color. I debated the jade with the dragonfly and decided the blue one was a better option and would coordinate with more in my wardrobe. Then, I spotted the bellflower and swooned as I pictured it with white pants this summer.

The colors and shapes in this latest Eileen Fisher collection are really lovely. They have bright and soft colors with warm and cool undertones. They’re easy to mix and match to create interesting combinations.

I’m eying the EF seafoam pleated dress & short cardigan for my mother of the groom outfit this July- or possibly the seafoam pleated mandarin collar long tunic you showed over crepe pants. I just love the color but wish EF offered more styles in Petite. I’m guessing the long tunic won’t fit me through the shoulders in a misses size (I’m about 5’3).
Have you had any issues with the pleats falling out in your EF dress from last year’s collection? Several reviews were negative about how the fabric looked after wearing & washing.
Thanks for sharing this brand today- one of my favorites except for the price point.

    1. I’ve had no problems with my pleats. I’m pretty sure that dress comes in petite now. I wore it to my son’s wedding.

So many pretty colors! I want them all, LOL!

  3. I’ve lived and worn Eileen Fisher for over 30 years. Sadly, I’ve found the brands more recent styled hard to wear for a short waisted, apple shaped body. The brand seems stuck on short or cropped tops, which I find hard to wear with the beloved slim pants. Of course I can wear a shirt under them to extend the hem, but this breaks the clean color line and draws attention to all the wrong parts.
Sigh. Come out of retirement, Eileen!

  4. Gorgeous. Every single piece!!!! How did I miss the baseball cap???? Best wishes.

  5. Thank you so much, Jennifer. Closest stores are 2 hours away so any shopping I do is online. Your try-on sessions are a big, big help. Love these EF pieces. I’m smitten with the jade and bellflower.

    1. They’re such gorgeous colors!!

  6. Just like Kim, I love the sweater in all of the blue shades. You are getting quite slim Jennifer. It has been 20 years since I wore XS anything. Loved the try on. You look gorgeous in the Dragonfly sweater.

    1. Thanks Sydney, remember too that EF does run large

Gorgeous looks on you Jennifer thank you for the try on session. I have ordered the cocoa silk skirt and the linen tank, excited to see them, but I think I might have to drive to the store to look at the colors in person. Those alpine pants are divine and the dragonfly sweater…wow! Happy weekend!

    1. That cocoa is stunning!! All the colors are amazing in this collection

  8. Hi Jennifer, these colors are gorgeous. You look great in all the styles..I personally not a fan of Eileen Fisher, a bit too flowy for my style, but I do recognize the quality. Have you tried the Eileen Fisher store on 4th St in Berkeley? It’s a day trip. I have friends that live in Davis and take the train to the Berkeley station, just a thought…..I will say the Italian cashmere does have me thinking about revisiting my ideas about the Eileen Fisher style….

    1. That store in Berkeley is stunning, as is the one in Mill Valley. Each store has such a beautiful vibe.

  9. Am hoping to rebuild my EF wardrobe after not having worn for several years. Would you recommend the washable stretch crepe pants or the cotton blend ponte pants as a starting point? Also considering the washable ponte full length trouser. Would you say they’re all three-season? After COVID, I’ve remained a large size 10 or smaller size 12. Might Medium be the best size to order in all? Loved all the items that you showed today….

    1. That full length trouser is really, really lovely. I wish they came in Alpine. I have the crepe pant in about 5 colors and can’t say enough good things about the fabric. Yes, I would say they’re all three season unless you live in a very cold climate. If I were starting out, I’d suggest the crepe and that you order 2 sizes to be able to compare S and M. Her pieces do run generously, as you may remember.

    2. Yes, you would be a medium. For the past five years most of my wardrobe has been Eileen Fisher. I love the ability to mix and match colors, as well as add new pieces each season. Once you know your size and styles that are flattering you can find many pieces, new or used on eBay and Poshmark.

  10. I love that raglan sleeve linen/cotton sweater on you! I’d wear it in Dragonfly, Bellflower, Seafoam, Jade and Bluette. Those are my favorites in order from #1 to 5. Most colors that look good on you also look good on me.

    1. I’m with you Kim, all of the colors are amazing.

  11. Thank you for showing us such beautiful colors from the Spring Eileen Fisher collection! I have never owned an Eileen Fisher piece before, but this might be an invitation to purchase something! 😉

  12. Love all of these colors. Especially like the sweaters and white pants. The baseball cap is really, really cute.

    1. I ordered the cap 😉

Interesting pieces from EF. By the way, Yardley sells lily of the valley products that smell pretty close to the actual scent. I’m a fan too. Have you tried Dior’s Diorissimo? I like that scent too, as did Princess Diana. Found at Harrod’s and Sak’s.

    1. I wore the Yardley version many, many years ago. It smells so fresh. I’ve not tried the Diorissimo yet.

  14. I’m sorry but I am not a fan of the wide-leg pants. For those of us who are borderline petite, they add visible weight which I don’t need. When I look at your pictures side by side, the slimmer cut is much more flattering in my opinion.

    1. It’s all personal preference. I bought the wide leg pant.

  15. I love some of the colors in the new collection but tend to steer clear of EF as the inseams on their pants are always a wee too short and there is generally not a tall option……

    1. They do make a lot of ankle and crop pants

  16. I am surprised all of these items did not come home with you! Thanks for doing this try-on. I have always loved Eileen Fisher because her pieces last forever without looking dated. The price per wear justifies the initial investment. Love that dragonfly sweater!

  17. Good morning,
Lovely to see more beautiful Eileen Fisher outfits. I have a question regarding fit of Eileen Fisher shoes, I am very interested in some spring shoes but must order everything so would like to know how sizes fit.
    Thank you,
    Amy

    1. I have several pairs of their sandals and booties and find they run true to size. They’re quite comfy too.

  18. The silk shirts are beautiful, the colors are all lovely, and ooh, I like the short wrapped jacket. What a fun post!

    1. It was a really fun try on!
