Spring 2025 Color Trends: The Fresh Hues Defining This Season’s Style
As winter recedes and the days grow longer, many of us feel drawn to color—whether in our wardrobes, homes, or even a simple bouquet on the kitchen counter. Spring has a way of refreshing our surroundings, and this year’s color trends embrace that sense of renewal. The 2025 palette offers a mix of timeless favorites and fresh updates, proving that while colors evolve, they never truly disappear. Whether you gravitate toward soft pastels, deep earth tones, or bold, vibrant hues, there’s something to inspire everyone this season.
2025 Spring Color Trends
Mocha Mousse

Mocha Mousse is the Pantone Color of the Year, and it’s an excellent pick for the season. This warm, earthy brown is richer than your usual beige but still light enough for spring. It goes perfectly with other neutrals, pastels, and even bold colors, so it’s super easy to mix with your existing pieces. Unlike some of the other trending colors, this is one shade you can wear well into fall and winter, making it a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

True Red

Red is one of those timeless colors that never goes out of style, and this season’s version is a bright, pure red. There’s no denying how this vibrant shade can really add a pop to any outfit. Even something as simple as a red scarf, handbag, or pair of flats can take a neutral look from basic to bold.
Shop Reds:
Pinks

Pink is still a go-to spring color, but for 2025, pale pink is taking the spotlight. These shades work perfectly as an alternative to your usual neutrals. They’re subtle, easy to wear, and add a bit of color without being too bold. Search for shades like “dusty pink” or “powder pink” to freshen up your wardrobe.
Shop Pinks:
Powder or Sky Blue

I’ve had blue on my mind lately, so I was pleased to see powder blue on the radar for this spring. There’s something about this shade that feels light, airy, and incredibly refreshing. Unlike bolder blues, this pale blue has a soft, calm tone that is subtle but still makes a statement. It pairs well with neutrals like beige, white, and taupe, but it can also hold its own next to richer colors like navy or even deep chocolate brown.
Shop Blues:
Fresh Greens

Green has been gaining momentum over the past few seasons, and this spring, it’s getting even more attention. Nature-inspired hues are everywhere, with popular fresh green shades like Sage, Pistachio, Kelly Green, mint, and olive leading the way. There’s a green for every skin tone and style, making this a color trend everyone can participate in.

I have a cocoa colored dress with tiny pink and white polka dots I got from Talbots that’ll look great this spring if I tie it with a jacket! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love all but the brown tones and not a fan of any red only blue undertone red..all else I just love!!! Soft, femine and lovely “perk up”…those oranges and tans last season.. yuk
.you look great in all of them though
.
I wish we could do a clothes swap LO! I bought quite a few of the blues last year, including a pale blue scalloped top from Talbots. It does nothing for me, but I kept it. This summer I am going to see if I can make it work better by using a scarf to tie it together with a navy or black blazer.
My vote goes for bright red. Love that sweater. And the Mocha dress looks so good on you Jennifer. Again, love receiving your emails.
I just did a try on in J Crew, Chico’s and Banana Republic. Pale pinks and blues. Guess I’m craving spring. Left everything in the store, though. Too sheer, too low cut, synthetic fabric. Can’t win them all.
Can’t wear brown except for pants. Love the blush pink and haze blue. Can’t wear green except for blue green. The Aquifer color is a possibility. You seem to be able to look good in many colors I can’t yet your coloring looks like mine. It must be the undertones as you said before.
Oh no, I hate to be negative but only the blue calls to me. I realize I’m stubborn about colors: brown is for fall (& doesn’t look good on me), red is for winter (& doesn’t look good on me), etc. Guess I’ll save my money and wait until next year. How do you manage to look good in all these colors?!
Jennifer! That mocha mousse sweater dress and blazer look amazing on you. I love the whole mocha vibe, just not sure how much I would wear it after fall/winter. The light blue and Blush pinks have definitely got my attention.
Great to hear about the spring colours. I just bought a pale blue overcoat/car coat and I can’t wait to wear it. This is definitely my colour too.
I’m so pleased with every one of these colors!! I wear all these colors and they all look beautiful on you.
Great post for spring. I can’t find the links for your blue outfit, though (jacket, blue pants, striped blouse). Blue is my color!
It’s an older outfit and sold out now, sorry
I like most of the colors but not the mocha. Mocha or any brown are not my colors!
Those pale pinks, blues and greens……who’s seasonal color pallet are they good for? Thanks and just curious about that.
Depending on the undertone they can be great for all seasons. Even autumns have a blush pink. If they’re icy they work well for winters. Undertone, intensity, and clarity determine which is most flattering but all seasons have a version.
I love your longer denim jacket. Where did you purchase it?
This was from Talbots years ago
Thank you.
I have been gravitating towards pink lately – not a pastel, but rather a bit more coral. I’ve yet to try the pistachio, but it looks great on you, Jennifer.
Coral is such a lovely color!
I like the blues/ greens and, maybe mocha mousse? I look best in camel ( brown family ). Jennifer, you seem to be able to look great in every color!
I wish camel looked better on me:)
