Merry Christmas and A Styling Gift
Merry Christmas to those of you who are celebrating! I hope you are spending yours with loved ones, making memories for the future. I want to thank you all for reading and being here. You generously share your wisdom and experience in the comment section which is a true gift – to me and to other readers. You’ve made this a supportive community of wise, kind women and I am so grateful.
I’d like to give 3 of my readers a styling gift. Simply leave a comment telling me what you’d like to see more of next year. I will choose at random and get in touch.
Thanks for making this blog what it is and have a Very Merry Christmas.

All your tips already have been wonderful! I enjoy using them with my own clothes. I would love to hear and see how you organize your clothes in your closet. I really need to organize mine more and any tips would be appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I always enjoy the post where I learn a new trick to add to my life and wardrobe; especially the one about wearing texture. I also appreciate you being the Ginny pig trying on clothes and allowing us to be a fly on the wall. I always love to see investment pieces of clothing that can be added to what I already have; and maybe more accessories (scarves, necklaces, etc.), or how to wear the ones we might already have.
Thanks for all your help in keeping us looking our best as we age.
Merry Christmas, Jennifer! I found your blog this year and enjoy it so much. I can’t think of a thing I would change. I do like seeing styling tips for particular body types and would like to see more of that along with “misses” as a learning exercise.
Merry Christmas Jennifer, I do enjoy all of your posts! Your style is very appreciated for my lifestyle, however I must make adaptations for living in Alberta. Please add more postings on face and skincare in general, as well as makeup tips for women in their 60’s. Thanks
Merry Christmas Jennifer! I love your blog just as it is! Don’t change a thing!
I love your blog. I had weight loss surgery 18 mo ago and i am having to find my style. I went from wearing what I could find in my size to buying things I actually like. I follow you for your excellent advice. Just keep doing what you do in 2019!
Merry Christmas, Jennifer, to you and your family! I love so many things about your blog. Reading it is my reward for having gone out early and done my power walk in the neighborhood. I come back, have my coffee, and settle in for a read. If I had to pick, I’d like to see more of your polished casual looks with jeans, dressing on a budget, summer casual looks that are both cool and not leg-baring (I live in a climate very similar to yours, and summer is my biggest challenge), dressing room diaries, tips for styling baby fine straight hair, and innovative ideas for things you already own. Your latest post about the anti-aging effects of texture was great – innovative, fun, and inspiring!

Merry Christmas Jennerfer You do a great job for the women who like to look like they are staying in touch with how to look like they care about themselves . Always like the subjects you address and read most days and have passed your sight on to my friends Hope you never tire of enlightening us Have a blessed new year
I like the dressing room diaries and the posts that explain why somethings just don’t work. I like seeing the new styles of the different stores. You help me look at my outfits in a constructive way, it helps me realize I need to tweak my look, not assume I have nothing to wear.
“My sewing room,” was my immediate answer to your question about what we would like to see more of. I haven’t seen much of it lately because we are trying to get our house ready to sell so we can move closer to our oldest daughter. Then I realized you weren’t looking for answers like that, but for what we would like to see more of on the blog.
I would like to see more on what you wear at home on casual days. My days are quieter; I’m not always going places and seeing people. It is easy to become a slob when you are staying at home. Since I see more at-home-time coming after I retire next month, I want to know how to look good when I am hanging out at home. What kind of clothes should I be making when I get back into my sewing room.
Oh, and thinning hair. I’m dealing with that and hate it. My doctor has me on Vitamin D, so I am hoping that will help, but not seeing a lot of difference so far. It has only been a month.LOL
Merry Christmas! I love your blog ad learn so much from it! One of my favorites is Dressing Room Diaries. As others have suggested I would love hints on dressing on a budget. I also like it when you talk about what doesn’t work and why.
I love your blog Jennifer. I find it not only helpful and practical, but fun! I always look forward to reading it!
I especially love when you are traveling locally. I can see the sites plus what you chose to wear. I also appreciate your updates on which stores have promotions going.
Please continue the great work! Merry Christmas!
Echoing the comments of all who posted, Jennifer, I enjoy your blog so much, I feel like I know you!
What I like best is when you take on the challenges of aging (all the things we’d rather not talk about) and deliver advice and suggestions in a kind, and often humorous, way.
I wouldn’t mind seeing more fashion priced a little more reasonably, too. Thanks, keep up the great work and warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Merry Christmas! Dressing Room Diaries is definitely my favorite on your blog. Since I’m not working any more, it’s the way I see what fashionable women are wearing.
Happy Christmas Morning Jennifer…to you and yours! I’m on the East coast and read your blog first thing every morning. I enjoy it immensely and always glean useful information and inspiration from your posts. I’ve always been in good health and felt (and dressed) younger than my years. But now in my late 60s I’m having some health issues which have challenged my usual optimistic outlook on aging and looking my stylish best. It’s a struggle some days to think about (or care) about what I’m wearing, doing my hair, or putting on makeup! Since your posts really do inspire me I’d love to see more about easy makeup and care techniques for aging skin, hair styling and casual comfortable dressing with style and class.
Thank you again for the information and inspiration you bring to all of us!
Merry Christmas to you and yours. I’d love to see everyday looks, working around the house looks. How does one upgrade that look, make it fresh and fun. Wearing jeans and a tee or sweatshirt, or athletic wear, works for real life jobs like scrubbing floors, gardening, messy cooking, or cleaning out the garage, but it’s often boring and not particularly flattering. What is a good source for work clothes and how to create your own everyday look?
Sue, I’m with you on this. I usually wear the clothes that I have that are comfortable but that are past their prime, but I am very tired of them and would rather perk things up a bit. I’m 82, so maybe it’s a little late for perky, but you know what I mean. I hope you are chosen, and I look forward to creating a new every day look.
Elena, never too late for perky! And I would love to see more everyday, working around the house looks! Love your blog, Jennifer
I have to ditto Sue’s suggestion. I would love to see more posts on casual everyday dressing. Many of us retirees are spending more time putting around the house, gardening, or quick jaunts to the grocery store. I like comfortable, casual, non-fussy clothes, and nice loungewear. Thanks Jennifer and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Jennifer and to your family…you are such an inspiration to me and I thank you for your candidness…you are so honest and open with us all. You make it seem like we’re best friends! I would be interested in how you got started with this blog and if you have any tips to maybe start a blog??? Also, I would love to hear about your daily routine, and where do you get your energy from. You are always so upbeat and full of life…. what’s your secret!??
Thank you for your friendship….
Merry Christmas! I, too, would enjoy seeing more dressing room diaries. I enjoy how you incorporate the new items into your current wardrobe.
I came across your blog about a month ago and have enjoyed reading your mix of posts. I would love to read more about is how to style different pieces into different looks (hope that makes sense..). Hope your holidays are merry and bright!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, Jennifer!
I love your blog & am so happy that I found it.
I enjoy posts about stylish dressing on a budget, how to dress casually & classically, styling tips for fine hair, skin care & makeup over 60, how to choose patterned clothing as a petite woman (I tend to choose solids since patterns often feel overwhelming). I also love your Dressing Room Diaries & Would You Wear It.
I look forward to your guidance in 2019!
