Weekend Reading 02.21.26

Happy Saturday, ladies. We had snow flurries this week, which I find quite magical because I see them so seldomly. It also meant the temperatures dropped, so I dove into full bundle-up mode. You can see how blue my lips look:)

California will feel quite balmy after this weather. I’ve had this lavender scarf (similar) for so many years, and I’m always delighted to add the pop of color to my darker navy coats. It sent me down a rabbit hole of lilac and lavender for spring, and I’m finding some great pieces.

Bestsellers this week…what readers loved most:

  • This silk jacquard bias skirt was very popular. I decided the pleating is perfect for travel and ordered it in Flint for my upcoming trip to Singapore. I’ll be dressing it up and down.
  • This fun Scalamandré rug is still a massive bestseller, several weeks in a row. You all must have more wooden or tile floors than I do, because I may need to move my kitchen rug so I can try one!
  • My sweatshirt blazer was very popular this week, both for readers and I wore mine a lot. I’m not a huge sweatshirt wearer because I prefer a bit more structure…which this one provides!
  • This gorgeous navy crossbody was very popular with readers this week. Because it’s at the Nordstrom Rack, the price is fabulous.
  • These Wit & Wisdom jeans are also a bestseller this week. They’re a great silhouette and are selling out fast.
  • This fun polka dot shirt was a sleeper hit and flew out the door… possibly because it’s now on sale.

Highlights from the weekend sales:

CHICO’S has up to 60% off sale styles.

J.JILL has 30% all tops…including new arrivals and an extra 30% off all sale styles.

LOFT has 30% off everything… including new arrivals.

TALBOTS has 25% off tops, pants, and jeans.

In case you missed it:

And then my week got away from me, so I had no post on Thursday or Friday. Thanks for sticking with me, ladies. Your support means the world to me.

Have a great weekend, and be sure to wear what makes you feel confident.

  1. Yes, to warm long down coats! Mine only comes to my knees but otherwise looks exactly like yours! Mine is nearly ten years old from LL Bean! It has been very cold and windy here. It has been reading and tea for me. We had a lovely snow globe twenty minutes or so yesterday. Only got a dusting but boy was it cold! Today, up to 52! It has been a roller coaster ride this winter. I can’t wait to see your cardigan when you get it finished. It looks very challenging.

    1. Reading and tea sounds perfect!

  2. I love the sweatshirt blazer but unfortunately the white looks like the lab coat I used to wear for work. Add a necklace and it reminds me of a stethoscope. Love your style though. Thanks for helping this 68 year old dress!

    1. lol! Associations are so strong. It also comes in navy or black.

  3. You must really feel the cold. It hasn’t been that cold on coastal BC. I guess it’s the dampness that gets you. It’s a good day to snuggle in with a nice cup of tea and your knitting.

    1. And that’s what I’ve been doing. I’m trying to finish my cardigan.
