Weekend Reading 03.22.25
This is my last weekend in Vancouver before I head back to California. I’ve been getting regular video updates of my grandsons, but I have a feeling they’ve been growing like weeds while I’ve been gone. The temperature is about 10-15 degrees warmer there, so it will feel more spring-like, yay!

- I’m reading The Pivot Year by Brianna Wiest. I assume it’s meant to be read one page a day, but I’m just moving through it at my own pace.
- What happens if you don’t turn on airplane mode.
- Cashmere T-shirts are so perfect for in between weather. Since these ones are currently on sale, I ordered the Stone color. I’d ordered and returned an ivory one because it wasn’t opaque enough for me.
- This was a fun read on outdated fashion trends that Vogue editors still love in 2025.
- With all the rain this week, I have been shopping for a rain hat. Hoods and umbrellas are great, but a wide brimmed rainhat is even better. This one even has a “trench coat” belt which tightens on your head. This one is considerably cheaper, but not as fun.
- Is this Scandi sleep method the secret to a good night sleep?
Bestsellers of the Week
- This lightweight trench was a bestseller this week. My analytics don’t tell me which color sold the best, but there are several great options.
- These Chico’s wide-leg pants are a bestseller again this week.
- Several of you added my favorite woven flats to your wardrobe. Remember to save 10% with the code AWSL10 at checkout.
Weekend Sales
- JENNI KANE is having an amazing sweater sale…which I admit to taking advantage of. Save $100 off select sweaters with the code SWEATERSTYLE at checkout. This Fisherman sweater is my favorite sweater of all time and is worth every penny. I have it in ivory, oatmeal, charcoal, and I finally ordered the black. I purchased them all during a sale…like now. I size up to a large in these, so they’re nice and roomy.
- TALBOTS- BOGO 50% off everything! Lilac and lavender are having a big moment at Talbots, right down to this short sleeve jean jacket.
- VERONICA BEARD- Their seasonal favorites sale is on and you can save 25% off with code FAVORITES2025. I love this sandal in the rose color.
- J. JILL- 30% off sale.
- EILEEN FISHER- an extra 20% off their sale items.
- CHICOS- 25% off new pants and no-iron shirts, and up to 40% off sale items.
- J. CREW- 25% off select linen & cashmere.
- NORDSTROM- Up to 50% off during their Spring Sale.
- LANDS END– 40% off swim, 50% off everything else with code AWAKEN.

Have a fabulous weekend and wear what makes you feel confident.

I love that you had coffee at Murchies! Such a great place. The aroma emanating from the cafe just draws you in off the street and the pastries are delicious, too. Well done!
I love Murchies!
I’ve been looking at cashmere t’s. Did you get one from quince or jcrew? Link goes to jcrew but wanted to check because I didn’t see a stone color. Also, what size did you order?
Btw, your post re: style refresh was sooo helpful!
Thx!
I ordered a medium from J Crew. I have a lilac one from Quince which is very nice.
LOL! The stone color was right in front of me! (Duh)
Thx, Jennifer!
And that’s why I bought the J Crew. Lol. For the color
Too windy for a cute hat but sunny and 62 degrees here in Colorado. I still have half of my closet in winter clothes. It is jeans and sweaters here. Stay warm and healthy!
Good timing for you to leave the rain in Vancouver.
Spring is beginning To show up,thank goodness.
Did your daughter find a home to buy?
I sure wish we could buy Qquince in Canada!
I would love a cashmere Tshirt.
I’m hoping Quince will fix that soon
I just ordered the canvas bag and a swimsuit from Lands End.
