Weekend Reading 02.22.2025

This sweater isn’t finished yet, but I couldn’t resist wearing it around the apartment last week. Now that I’m back in California, I’m going to fuss with the edge a bit and possibly add an icord. We’ll see. The weather here was in the high 60s yesterday so I won’t be needing my coats too often. I spotted a man in shorts and flip-flops yesterday, which seems a bit premature, but each to his own:)

BTW- Here’s the link from the Save or Splurge in today’s email. Sorry!

Fashion on my Radar

  • Nordstrom is now carrying my very favorite ballet flats in several colors in sizes 34-44, N, M, and W. You can’t beat free shipping and returns so when given the choice, I always purchase from Nordstrom.
  • And on that note, they also have the gorgeous Eileen Fisher sweater I shared yesterday.
  • These earrings are stunning!
  • This kaftan is crying out for a warm weather vacation.
  • My white woven flats arrived and I adore them. The brand has offered my readers a 10% discount with the code AWSL10 at check out! How nice is that? I’ve never had a brand do that before.

    Jennifer,
You are a beautiful knitter! Your work is so uniform and the color looks great on you. Just one knitter appreciating another’s work. Thanks for showing us your sweater!

    1. Thank you Kathleen!

  3. Sweater looks terrific on you !

  4. Hi Jennifer, just an FYI, have you ever used a pattern site called Ravelry. I knit quite a bit and I find it a fantastic resource. Most patterns are downloadable.
    kind regards Robyn Australia

    1. Yes, I’m on Ravelry, it’s fabulous. That’s where I find most of my patterns.

  5. Love the sweater.
Really liked the budget coffee break outfit. Thank you for your posts.

  6. Love your sweater! First thing I thought was you were going to get a lot of orders for that! It looks beautiful on you. That’s one of my favorite colors.

  7. Lovely sweater on you. I see that the rolled edge looks unfinished and an icord would do that. Your sweater looks much better than the pattern sweater on Etsy. I knitted all my adult life and found it so meditative. I really miss being able to do it with my arthritic hands it is just too painful.
I couldn’t get anything to open except the blouse with the cats on it. So I would guess that the right is the high and left in the picture is the low.
